No Longer a Member | Does your Computer need a Tune-Up? Just wanted to post a site that will scan and clean your computer for free for spyware, viruses and trojans. It is a good idea to clean your computer every once in awhile to get rid of stuff that you accumilate by surfing the net. click on the "Click here for free scan" Then click on the grey button, (Get housecall free scan.) Scroll down accept the terms and Launch housecall. The first time you do it it may take awhile. Be Patient. You can uncheck the delete cookies part if you want to keep them. | NOW you tell me! LOL Who knew you had to clean up your computer from time to time. Not I. I just had, or tried to have, Cablevision hooked up as my carrier. They couldn't connect because there was no room for their software. I never cleaned my computer in 6yrs. Seems all 557 pictures of Buddy were taking up all my space. My sister cleaned everything up and I get to start again You learn something new every day. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | AVG is a highly rated free virus, trojan and spyware software available on line. I no longer have norton of macfee. You need to careful at clicking to REMOVE items...because sometimes the file that is affected is in an exe file which is part of your computer's operating system. If you delete it entirely.....you killed the computer. You want a program which will HEAL the issue.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Yeah I know....we had a virus and I knew from the computer's actions...it was a virus. Did Norton know that....and I mean an UPDATED verison? Heck no. Downloaded avg....10 minutes later....virus gone. Another thing I HATE about those other programs...norton or macfee....if you purchased this on line with your credit card....those companies AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE YOUR CC at the renewal date. This happened to me...for a computer we no longer even had, nor had norton installed. And you can't talk to a LIVE person either...nor get any help via email. I disputed that charge with my bank...and it was removed. But man was I ticked. Btw, there is one program out there...that says it is a free virus software. Looks much like a notice from microsoft. That one actually is a virus...it is NOT virus protection. It's called something like winvirus.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | AVG is the best freebie and there is no need to buy and you always get the updates for free. In addition to that you should run adaware which will take out the spyware. Then last but least you should run your disk defrag every maybe three or so months to keep your pc tuned up. For the AVG and the Adaware go to download.com. I have a friend that runs his own computer business and they do security and the like for many big firms and this is the stuff he told me to use. A couple months back my kids pc had tons of pop up and virus problems. I ran the Norton that I pay for and it did nothing. I was ready to pitch the pc. Then I though to ask my friend and he gave me this stuff. I ran the AVG first and that caught all the junk and cleaned that pc. I was so frustrated that I was feeling violent. After I saw how well that went I removed the norton and never looked back.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It's virus software...and here ya go. AVG Free - Download AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Windows XP and Vista Btw, if you have other verisons of windows on your computer...there's a tab there with compatiable verisons for it.
