| I'm moving...but... I can't take my Lab/german shepherd Ginger with my mom and I. shes too big, too load, and too aggressive. (or so my mother says) and i guess in a sense she is right BUT she is my baby~shes been there for me every second of her life! shes 8 yrs old now. I dont know what im going to do..ive been depressed for weeks now and everytime i look at her or play with her or anything i cant help but cry. I've run out of idea on how to keep her. shes my baby my first animal ever!(im an animal lover). but my mom did say she could go with her now ex. he loves her too very much(takes her to work sometimes too) and would never hurt her or put her in danger or do anything wrong. but just knowing shes not going to be there when i get home from work, or school, or from going out anywhere for a few minutes, she wont be there to get all excited and happy and kiss me to death when i get through the door.. Please everyone any advice or good words would really help me out right now I dont know what to do...

| JMO, if you cant take her and the ex is good to her, let him take her. It is some one that she knows and loves and apparently loves her. SO you can rest assured that she will be very well cared for. |

| I am sorry this is so painful emotionally for you. It would be for me too I think...Maybe since your Mom's Ex gets on with the dog so well you could let it go with him with the thought if you get out on your own again you can then regain possession at that time. It wouldn't make it seem so final. Best wishes to you...and may there be happier days ahead!

| It is heartbreaking to lose a pet. Sounds like you're very young and still living at home. And, it sounds like your mom is in charge....which is usually the case. I'm sorry. It doesn't sound like there is much you can do. I'm sure you've tried crying, begging, and all those things...right? I had to give away a dog when I was about your age. I still remember my broken heart. My dog had been poisoned twice - by someone who was driving around our neighborhood throwing poison meat into people's yards. A lot of dogs were poisoned and many died. So - my dad made me give my 7-year-old Irish Setter to a new and safer home. It broke my heart. So, I know exactly how you feel. But - it's heartbreaking and I do feel sorry for you. I wish things were different. Carol Jean Again - I'm sorry. Carol Jean |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I could adopt you and you could all live here. It is so sad that you have to give her up but if your mom's ex is a good person at least you will know she is with some one who loves her and she is familiar with. Good luck.
