It is heartbreaking to lose a pet.

Sounds like you're very young and still living at home. And, it sounds like your mom is in charge....which is usually the case.

I'm sorry. It doesn't sound like there is much you can do. I'm sure you've tried crying, begging, and all those things...right?

I had to give away a dog when I was about your age. I still remember my broken heart. My dog had been poisoned twice - by someone who was driving around our neighborhood throwing poison meat into people's yards. A lot of dogs were poisoned and many died. So - my dad made me give my 7-year-old Irish Setter to a new and safer home. It broke my heart. So, I know exactly how you feel.

But - it's heartbreaking and I do feel sorry for you. I wish things were different.
