| Before or After? I am determined to get 50 more pounds off! I know I will do it and I am patient, doing it slow. I have a question..... do you weigh meat before or after you cook it? Ive always done it before but this nutrionalist said, Oh no you weigh it after you cook it. So now Im confused. Does anyone else do this?

| I always thought you weigh it BEFORE cooking. I know most restaurants, when they give you the weight of the meat, they say that it is the "precooked weight."

| thats a good question. I know restaraunts weigh the meat before they cook it. I do Weight Watchers and they measure after cooked. At least thats how I think they do it! Its been successful for me. 17 lbs so far. 15 more to go. Good luck on your weight loss. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It probably depends on the diet, but in general, most diets are the precooked weight. For example, you could take a pound of beef, and dry it in the oven and it would be no more than a few ounces, however, it would have the same calories as the full 16 ounces. Meat would have more calories after cooking if you fry them in oil, but you probably know that.

| 16 lbs baby weight lost for me. 3 more to go!!! Found out 3 months ago that I was gluten (wheat) intolerant. It was causing me IBS, brain fog, and depression. My only grains now are corn, rice, and potato (not a grain, but i count it as one). Its weird, because I started losing inches on this diet before I was dropping the pounds. The weight loss is slow, but my bottom is smaller than it ever was before pregnancy! I think this diet helps me keep a healthy weight (gluten free) since I am no longer tempted by bad things. You know, like cookies, mickey d's, noodles..... If I know they will make me sick, well, its a great motivator, lol. (Sometimes I get to cheat because Snickers are gluten free )
