| Hurricane on the news I am sitting here watching the news about the hurricane and it just amazes me that these reporters are standing outside in this storm. Are they crazy? What is the point of watching these fool getting blown around and trying to talk into a microphone and falling on the ground? Am I the only one who thinks this is just craziness????

| Did you ever see when the wind blew Al Roaker on the ground and he started to roll! I actually cried!

| Yes, it was so funny! I think it's hilarious when the reporters get blown around. I guess they are asking for it.

| No, you're not the only one who thinks like this. I think it's crazy also but I guess they're just doing their job.

| Did anyone see Heraldo Rivera clinging to a PALM TREE I think at that point he needed to get back inside! They also asked him if they had a plan if he was sucked out to sea! He said NO! Don't get me wrong, I worry about all of the people that are affected by these storms BUT these fools to "capture the action".

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I don't know why they do this but alot is for effect and ratings - I couldn't even OPEN a door last night let alone go outside and blow away. I missed all the funny stuff I see - I hope they do replays on CNN - thats the only channel I'm getting this morning the winds were so scary but the Gusts were far worse. That's when we would hear the crashes - I'm scared to go outside. |

omg v, been checking to see if you were alright.. you need to make a thread for a roll call on those in the area of Ike.. for people like me checking in to see if everyone is ok.. I watched the news all night, although I too think they are crazy, it keeps the rest of us informed. I was glued to the tv until almost three I fell asleep. Just could not stay away any longer.. anne | |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh my Gosh - ALL MY NEIGHBORS lost their patios (fences) - that accounts for all the crashing I heard all night - I went out yesterday and used every nail I had in the house to reinforce my patio fence because that's where my girls go do their business - mine is the only one still standing ! We had some bad damage in my apartments from what I just saw - roof tiles are all over and broken windows - I guess my work paid off.....I can't believe how bad it looks out there. There's boards all over my parking lot and some peoples patio fences are just plain GONE |
