Donating YT 30K Club Member | Question for Nashville folks My 23 year old niece moved to Murfreesboro, Tn this summer to take a teaching position and called my sister today. She has been very lonely and bought a 6 week old cocker puppy from some people selling it by Walmart!!! She is so excited but we are concerned as it is way too young and who knows what type of people these were selling a dog on the street. She did take it to Banfield and she has an ear infection but otherwise seemed ok. We want to find her an er vet just in case and possibly a pet sitter to stop in and see her during the work day. Does anyone in that area have a recommendation. I told her to get Nutrical and make sure she is eating before leaving her to go to work Monday. Also she has flights booked to come home at Thanksgiving and Christmas on Southwest that doesn't allow dogs so we don't know what she will do with th puppy then. Thanks for any input.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I know my sister kept telling her to wait until she was home for the holidays and she would take her to a good breeder, but you know kids she fell in love. Just hope it is ok. I can't believe people sell animals on the street!! They even took a post dated check from her.

| Yikes! I'm glad that besides the ear infection, it sounds like the puppy is just fine. I lived in Nashville for a few years and used to take my kitty to Pet Med PetMed - High Quality Veterinary Medicine (Antioch, Tennessee). They are located on the east side of Nashville, only about 20 minutes away from Murfreesboro. I don't know if they offer emergency services, but it is an excellent vet clinic. My younger sister volunteered there over a summer or two and said everything that goes on "behind the scenes" is as kind and ethical as the public image/reputation that they maintain. That said, Murfressboro is an absolutely booming town now due to the university and housing prices skyrocketing in Nashville ... I'm sure she can find an excellent vet right down the street! I'm sorry your niece is feeling lonely ... I just moved to PA for grad school and got my little yorkie a couple months ago ... he is a ton of company for me and is such a comfort! I really don't know what I'd do without him. I think your niece's pup will really be a blessing for her.
