| Way off topic: looking for a place to hunt with large population of deer!! Ok, so I know this sounds strange for this site but Me and DH are looking for a place to hunt possibly out of state. We are both hunters. So if you or your husbands may know a great place to go with a good population of deer let me know. Alot of the good outfitters cost around $3,000 a piece for 5 days and most of them you have to get your name drawn to be able to hunt, meaning I could get drawn but DH might not so only I could hunt and we really want to go together. We don't have too many options for hunting where we are. I know its strange for a woman to be hunting and some may think i'm crazy lol but the women that do hunt will understand why I do it. Anyways if anybody has any suggestions please let me know!!

No Longer a Member | Down in Kentucky around Cave run lake is a great place to hunt. Lots of deer. We have lots on our farm but the DH wont let anyone hunt them. WE live close to the lake. Journeys End is a place you can stay at. or one called Muskie Lodge. My hubby is a big hunter. He hunts Deer, Turkey, grouse, quail, rabbit etc. Needless to say we eat lots of wild meat. If you want anymore info let me know. |

| Michigan has tons of deer. I am not a hunter, so I don't know where to tell you to go, but there isn't a lottery to be able to hunt.....

| Come to Alabama! Geez, I feel like I'm hunting them with my car everytime I leave my house! (Or more like they are hunting me! ) Seriously though, this state has the highest deer population in the nation. All of the WMAs here are public access here w/ a permit (which is free). They've opened them all up to hunters for the time being to try to help bring down the population some. |

| Come out west to Idaho! We have TONS of deer here- big ol mulies, plus it is GORGEOUS here!! Here's some pics, the first picture was in the early summer coming off a hard winter, and the next was a bit later. There were four other deer and two other elk in the same meadow- it was so pretty!!

| No deer here, I wouldn't tell you if there were. If only it could be fair and say....the deer and you both got to have a gun! Sorry, for the sarcasm, I'm a lover of all animals. I just can't picture putting a bullet in one. |

| Do you feel like coming to Canada? I know it's pretty far but we get tons of American hunters up here in Saskatchewan all the time. We have a cabin up at the lake near my parents' house and I know a lot of people in our area rent out their cabins to people who come up from the states to hunt. There are tons of deer, moose, elk, you name it My dad and brother are avid hunters, and so are all of my uncles, and yes, even my female cousins and some aunts. I couldn't do it myself, but I can't say it's not yummy!
