| I think the things that drive me crazy are the few things I ask of him to do. Like put the towels in the dryer if I have to leave (He forgets) and to take out the garbage. He tells me take it out of the can and put it by the door. I just as soon go ahead and bring it out, which I do most of the time. Yes, I can definitely be anal on some things. Also, when we go away for the weekend or vacation, I'm packing for myself and our daughters and he'll come home and ask if I'm finished packing for him!! ( and he wonders why I forget something!) UGH!!!!!!! Oh another thing is that I don't think he'll ever understand that yes he's got a 40 plus hour job a week, but my job is 24/7, 365. Boy, it feels like I went on a rant! That's it. That felt good to let someone else know.

| I don't have DH but I have a DB and I love him with all my heart but as I'm sure with me, there are things he does that drives me absolutely bonkers! I'm home alone most of the time and the house stays clean but when he comes home FOR SOME REASON , things are left lying around EVERYWHERE. I don't understand why it's so hard to put things where they belong. Whenever I ask him to do something when he's home, like take the garbage out or help me with something, the response is ALWAYS (literally) "well, let me smoke first then I'll do it". Drives me NUTS, I don't need your help in 5 minutes, I need and want it NOW! Then comes the driving... I'll just put it this way, the passenger side floorboard has a pretend brake, there's probably imprints of my hand on the handle of the door and also the OH SH** handle on the ceiling.

| Oh. My. Gosh. I am having a hard time picking out one or two things Ok, here goes- I HATE HATE HATE when he cleans. I will come home to an absolute mess- I mean vacuum out, dust rags out, cleaning supplies all over, stuff scattered around and he wants me to be all "oh honey thank you so much for cleaning!" What cleaning????????? Now I have to go back and double clean because of all the S*#T you leave out. I can't tell you guys HOW MUCH it pisses me off!!! Then I'll spend all afternoon cleaning (I mean floorboards, disinfect, clean the carpet) and he can't even notice and the next thing I know there is dirt tracked all over the floor and something random sitting in the middle of the living room. I have even experimented to see exactly how long he would leave the battery charger in the entryway. It was one freaking month before I gave and put it away!!

| Sookie, yours reminded me, my bf does that too!!!! It's sooooooooo gross! Chewing with your mouth open is one thing, but good gracious, making chomping sounds is just DISGUSTING! Sometimes I tell him he needs to stop, and if he doesn't then I say he's sounds like a cow chewing on its cud And then he gets alllllll offended! But it's true!

| My husband leaves his cell phone in his car, so when he's at home and I need to get ahold of him, I can't. What's the point of a cell phone if you aren't going to use it?! My car is broken down right now and the other day I had to leave work early, so I tried calling him for an hour and a half to come get me but I ended up riding the bus and walking the rest of the way home just because he wouldn't answer the phone. This has happened multiple times.

| Wow, where do I begin? - Shoes all over the house (a habit which my son picked up) - Change, lighters, matches, cigarette butts, nails, screws and tools in the washing machine. (He's a painting contractor and shoves everything into all those pockets on his painter's pants. The butts are because he doesn't want to toss them in a client's yard.) - Crumbs all over the couch and the floor in front of it because he's gotta watch TV while he eats - Crumbs, tomato seeds, pickle juice, mustard and so on left all over the counter when he makes a sandwich - Used paper towels, foil and plastic wrap left on the counter right next to where the garbage can sits - Business paperwork scattered all over the dining room table - And the male family trait: not answering the phone! He lets everyone leave a message, including on his cell phone, so I have to just listen to them ring and ring. If it's the land line, I answer it, and I don't care how many dirty looks I get when I hand the phone to him! - Recently broke him of putting things on the top of the fridge to get them out of the way. I'm five feet and a half inch tall; I not only don't look up there, I can't see or reach up there without a chair! But I swear, I love him. Last edited by nancyfancypants; 08-01-2008 at 03:57 PM. |

| I didn't even have to think about this one. When I misplace something (like my eye glasses), I'll be looking around the house for them, and he says, "Where did you have them last?" Well, if I knew that, I wouldn't be looking all over the house for them!!!! DUH!!!

| My DH is a DRUMMER...Do you know what that really means? He DRUMS everything, always....He DRUMS the steering wheel of the car, he TAPS his foot on the gas peddle at a light...He TAPS the table at a restuarant , and if you're lucky, he'll play the DRUMS at the restuarant with the knife and fork while waiting for his food. (luckily not at nice rest)...After 25yrs of DRUMMING around me you would think he would sympathize and quit .... But no, he is now in a 'band' and guess where BAND PRACTICE is? Yep, every Sunday for 5 hours. in our house...He even disassembled our theatre room (removed seats) and it's the official 'band practice ' room....You should hear 5 guys over 50 try to get their 'youth' back...LOL I guess I'll let him play, I'll go shopping !! ha ha

| The only thing that my DH does that bothers me is that he forgets all the time. I ask him to do something and he will say, oh I forgot. That's all I can really complain about. He fills my car with gas, empties the cat litterboxes, takes the dogs out, takes my son to his friends' house, pretty much anything I ask him to do. He will even buy my tampons. but he does complain A LOT about that. I tell him, do you think the people in the store think you use them???

| 1. Driving - he always has to tell me how to drive. your too close to the curb. miss that hole. your driving too fast. 2. He puts papers, notes, bank statements, etc in the napkin holder on the dining room table. 3. He never turns the shower handle off. He turns off the water, but the handle that either goes to the faucet or the shower head, he leaves to the shower head, so when I go to fix the temperature of the water, if I forget, I get soaked b4 I get in. I think that's the main stuff.
