| HELP - jeans for my 12 year old! Here it is again (almost)..... school clothes shopping time! I was so glad when my oldest daughter got into Jr. sizes so that I could find the "long" sizes. But my youngest is 12 and we have such a problem! Her little booty is so tiny. She can still wear size 6 panties! Her shorts are a size 8 or sometimes a 10 but jeans are a nightmare. Last year she wore size 10 slim but towards the end of the school year, they were way short so I got her one pair of 12 slims. Those are now too short also. Thank goodness for the adjustable waists but you can only go so big and cinch those boogers in all just to get a length that works. There's no way she can wear a 14 slim - which is what she would probably need for them to be long enough. So, my question is..... are there any brands that come in "Long" that are made for her size? We love Aeropostale Longs for my other daughter but the young one has a few years before being able to fit into their sizes. Help???

| Thanks anyway for relating. Yes, when my other daughter finally got to where she could wear the double zero longs, I was so happy. I think the youngest might have a couple more years though.

| Umm..do you have a Forever 21 around you? Their jeans are very slim...she might be able to fit into the smaller sizes. They go down to like..a 24 i think. Also..Wet Seal and Charlotte Rousse have really slim cut jeans..

| Those places would be good for a Jr. but I'm looking for "kid sizes" - like a girls 12. Those stores only go as low as a 00. I just don't think "little" girls jeans come in different lengths but was hoping someone would prove me wrong.

| A girls size 12 is a junior size 3 My mom used to have to make my jeans, she worked in a jeans factory in downtown Baltimore. She would just use the same pattern and extend it to my length. Nowadays they seem to have heard the cries for skinny long legged girls Although it can get costly, as finding those sizes on sale is rare.

| I am having a tought time too! My soon to be 10 year old is so skinny. This year he definately needs a 12 length but I just found that a lot of the brands don't have that waist cincher in the 12s! I don't know what we're going to do. |

| let me start off by saying i can sympathize. the only thing is, i had to wear uniforms during school. i had the HARDEST time finding a size 0 long to fit my skinny, long legs. as far as little booty -- i can relate there too. i STILL wear a size 5 (or XS) at the age of 20. unfortunately i could not tell you where to try shopping, but if i can recall correctly, Old Navy used to have my sizes back when i was a little thang.

| My daughter is also tall and slim and we have to do the adjustable waist jeans too. I usally get her jeans at Gap, Limited Too, sometimes I'll have luck at Target and Marshalls. Good luck!

| I had the same problem with my daughter at that age - also try Sears or Penney's -- my daughter never would want to admit a pair of jeans came from Sears - but the funny thing was sometimes they had the same thing the big nice local department store had, but for a better price. Also, belts are in again, and even leggings are making a come back - or tights with shorts!

| That can't be right, can it?? I actually wear a Jr. size 3 or an Old Navy size 0 because they run bigger (at age 36) and my 14 yr. old daughter wears a Jr. size 1. There's no way this 65 lb. little girl can wear a Jr. size 3. I wish it were that easy. I'm hoping the double zero size will fit her in a couple years.

| Well, I know she needs a Slim size but the problem is the 10 Slim fits her little booty the best but even a 12 Slim is too short. The length is the whole problem. I need to find some kind of jean for little girls that comes in different lengths (ex: short, regular and long) like the Jr. sizes do.

Also, for anyone interested.... in case you didn't know.... Sears will replace a worn out pair of jeans with a brand new pair. The new pair has to be the same size as the worn out pair. At least that's been their policy before.... not sure if they still have that program. This comes in handy with little boys especially!!
