| I hate being yelled at Especially by strangers! I had to buy more puppy formula today (for Caillou). Another lady saw me buying it and asked the standard what kind of puppy why are you bottle feeding questions. She was all nice and sympathetic until she asked how old he was and I told her he was almost 11 weeks. Omg she drew back and gasped like I'd hit her or something! Then she literally WENT OFF on me! Telling me I was hurting him and damaging this that and the other by keeping him on the bottle at his age. I just walked off and went to look at the puppy toys and wait until she left to get the formula and check out (this is the only store close to here that carries it). Then I overheard telling the cashier that I was KILLING this poor puppy! I was just in tears when I finally checked out. The cashier told me that lady came in a lot and was one of those know it all types. I tried to explain that our vet said to keep him on it and not worry about weaning him until he was eating big boy food consistently or weighed 1.5 lbs. We go back to the vet in a week and we will probably start weaning him then. He eats canned food really well and is eating the dry food pretty good too. He isn't 1.5 lbs yet, but he's grown a lot and has put on more weight. She just made me feel like I was an inch tall and like there was something wrong with Caillou for even wanting his "bobbie" and something wrong with me for giving it to him.

| Oh, sweetie, I am so sorry this "know-it-all" was able to make you feel bad. It sounds like she has a reputation for it. All that counts is that you love your baby and are doing everything you can to keep him healthy. I know it is easier said than done. For your own sake you need to feel sorry for her that people has such a negative opinion of her. Hugs for the day. Joanne

| Awww girl you are sooo much nicer than me. Cause I woulda asked her where she got her degree in veterinary medicine. LOL! Anyway you are doing what your qualified medical professional told you to do. So you be a proud mommy and take care of Caillou and don't listen to crazy people who wander around town getting into other peoples business.

| I think I she was just able to get to me the way she did because I was already stressed over the DUG situatioun and because I worry about Caillou's health and doind the right thing for him anyway. Once I was in the car on the way home I had plenty of snappy comebacks for her. Caillou is healthy now and he is such a happy puppy he even wags his tail in his sleep. That's all that really matters. As long as he is happy, healthy, and loved I don't see a problem.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | There really is no reason to be nice to someone that rude. I would have said in a very cold voice. You are rude and need to shut up NOW! Of course I have no problem telling rude people where to go. Maybe when I put them in their place it saves the next person from their attitude. I plain just don't take anything from people like that. I wish it had happen to me instead of you.

YT 2000 Club Member | I'm so sorry you had to go through that, just let it roll off your back. Obviously she doesn't know everything and she should feel ashamed of herself for making you feel so badly. Some people.... My hat goes off to you for being there for this lil one and doing what needs to be done to ensure he gains the weight he needs and can be as healthy as he can be.

| Oh my gosh, Aerrica!!! I guess she's lucky she ran into you and not me; it would have been her in tears b/c I would have reamed her a new (you know). And then I might have slugged her or spit on her or something. How dare she tell you that stuff without even knowing the situation. What does she think she is...a VET or something? Even they would have the brains to inquire about the specific situation. Ignorant people just irritate the daylights out of me. I'm sorry she made you feel so bad; if you run into her again, spit on her for me, LOL. Or better yet, spit on her car door handle

| Some people just can't mind their own business, at all. I said this in a thread the other day. When someone is out of line with me, I teach them a lesson they won't soon forget. I'm through with people spouting off at me without me having a come back. I guess I'm just not as patient with these types of people as some are. This lady didn't deserve an explanation from you. You take care of your baby how you think is best. I admire you for being cordial to that creep. I, on the other hand can't do it. I generally feed off the other person's attitude. If they are nasty, I am. You get 'em girl. Don't let that happen to you again. Wishing you well, Denise

| What an experience and most the time people don't even have a clue. Not that they would stay and listen to it anyway. So why bother. These people sometimes think they have to be in other peoples business.

| Next time someone starts to say something square up your shoulders, look them straight in the eye and say something like: WOW - it's amazing that you know and understand more about my situation and my puppy than MY VET and I do. You must be psychic or someting! Then walk away. You don't owe strangers any details and the more info you provide to "nosey poseys" the more likely you will have to defend your actions. This is YOUR pup and it is YOUR business. Better yet, next time you go to buy pupy formula, call me so I can tell people to mind their own business I haven't had the chance to do that lately, I think I am due the pleasure |
