| Anyone using Proactive? I've did a search about Proactive on here but it looks like all threads "died" quite awhile ago... About a month ago, I decided that I HAD to do something about my acne. It really is worse now than it was in high school. I've been considering Proactive for quite some time, but finally just recently ordered it. Do any of you use it? I'm curious how long it will be before I notice any difference. So far, my face is just tender to the touch with no sign of clearing up. I also found out the hard way that the moisturizer will bleach fabric. Any input would be appreciated!

| I was researching it a few months back. I took a look at videos on Youtube, and decided against it. Go type in Proactive on Youtube, and see what comes up!

| I did several years ago and it worked for awhile and then stopped being effective. It also really dried my skin out. I eventually switched to a prescription.

| My skin started getting bad in my mid-20s. I went through a couple of prescriptions, but I have very pale skin and the medicine made it very sensitive to the sun. So, I gave Proactiv a try and I am very happy with the results. I have not had a problem with dry skin at all. I still get the occasional pimple, but overall I think Proactiv is a great product.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i had major acne in high school and part of college too. i tried so many things including prescription stuff. i got a sample of proactive to try and it made my face so red and irritated. Now i am on birth control pills and use Clinique antibaterial face soap and clinique toner number 3. i rarely have pimples anymore, and when i do get them its around period time. i highly recommend Clinique products.

| My brother had severe acne in ms and hs... He tried everything. Someone told him to wash his face with a good cleanser (he used something from wal-mart) use peroxide as an astringent, and then use 100% aloe vera (gel or you can use the actual plant he used both). His face is super clear now. He doesn't have any trouble. It cleared up really fast.

| I have been using it for 4 years. It worked great! you have to be super diligent about using the whole system or you break out again.

| I'm glad to hear a couple of you have had such great results! Do any of you remember how long it was before you really started to notice an improvement?

| It works on my son but you have to do the whole routine. And stay out of direct sun or use a block.

| I'm really starting to see an improvement! My skin is in no way clear yet, but the number of new breakouts is really tampering off! I have a new question though...Have any of you used a tanning bed while using proactive? I'd like to start tanning but I'm concerned that the proactive will make my face more sensitive/burn easier.
