Default Anyone regret getting a tattoo

I've been overly anxious ever since i got a tattoo on sat. I've been talking forever about getting it, but now that i have it I'm not sure I like it. I like the design; a flower on my big toe. But it's so visible. The other 2 i have are on my back. I'm sure hoping I get used to it. My hubby said removal is not an option. My hubby says the ones on my back get scene a lot too. I'm just hoping i'll get over this initial shock soon. I went through a similar thing when i got a butterfly on my shoulder. But how i got over that was i showed it off & when the reactions were mild I felt better. I can't really show this off though since it's the middle of freakin winter.

Don't worry spring will be here before you know it! I don't have any tattoos because it's just not me but my older brother has like 5 and i just hope that in the future when he is all old he doesn't regret them lol His are really nice. I heard that ppl that usually end up regretting their tattoos are ppl that got them when they were drunk and didn't think about it. Those that thought about it long before getting them and symbolized something in their life didn't regret them.

I got my first tattoo at 16... on my chest. The only regret I have is putting it in a spot that "goes through changes"... But being that you have one on your back and foot, I think those are good spots...

Hey!
I got my first 2 over the summer and have come to regret them. I'm in the laser removal process AS WE SPEAK and if you search the forum for "laser removal" or "tattoo removal" you'll find my threads and some pictures.

Best of luck

I'm thinking about having it removed, but it's so expensive. But the place by me offers free consultations so it wouldn't hurt to go ask. I've also done some research on a product called TCA which is a chemical peel. Tattoos on the toe fade quickly anyone because the rate at which your skin down there is replaced. I figured if I can speed this up with exfoliating techniques it might go away sooner then later.

I've never had one...I have thought about it numerous times, but have never gotten one......mainly, I always think of what I could spend that moeny on (other than a tattoo) and second, I may not want that tattoo in a few years.....so, nope, never got one!

Had piercings.....but, hey, they are easily removed!

I have a rose and butterfly in the center of my back in between my shoulders. I really regret getting it because now I am older I don't think it looks that attractive when I wear tanks or dress up in clothing that it shows. I expecially hated it being there when I wore my wedding dress. Oh well, a memory I will have forever.

I had gotten a butterfly on my foot right when I turned 18 and I hated it. I did it on a whim, and never really thought about it, so I was not happy with it. When my Uncle died almost 2 years ago, the whole service was based on how he is now a butterfly and not a caterpillar... it sounded way better when the Pastor explained it! So now I have his initials right by the tattoo and I LOVE IT! It means something now...so you never know!

It will settle in. The good thing is that while removing it totally might not be in your budget remember in time they fade from sun. So you can either do a cover up or if your into the tatts start a whole piece where you add to it.

I have a fairy on my shoulder that after a lot of years I am not all that about it. I am contemplating getting a cover up. It's faded down some so I can work on that or just do some add ons.

Good luck and just give it some time.

They tend to be markers in your journey in life. That is how I look at them. I have a good few and I know that they represented different times and different mind sets. They are good reminders of things.
