| Dixie pix & more Posted 2 pics of Dixie. Had to let her chew her baby brush-she is such a fiesty little girl and would not sit still. I know the wheels were turning in her head, she was thinking on where she will hide the brush. also posted a pic of my 3 stooges(Jokers nickname is goof), aka my german shepherds-Joker,Angel & Zoie. soon to come:The next pic of the 3 stooges you will see is Dixie playing tug of war with their tails-which is her new favorite game. She has also decided german shepherd paw pads are better then any chew toy I have given her.Every time the sheps lay down here is Miss Dixie chewing their feet or tugging their tail fur.

| The 3 stooges don't mind at all. They do dislike her chewing their paw pads. She gets a few good bites in and they try to move their paws but she follows the paw. Eventually they get to the point they've had enough and go lay elsewhere then she is on to the next shep. I am lucky to have a well mannered bunch. Zoie was used for the dog club on a couple occasions for other dog aggressive or dog fearful dogs. Her job was to sit while the owner of the problem dog slowly made their way to her ,teaching the problem dog there was nothing to fear nor any reason to be aggressive. The problem dogs weren't ones that were deadly aggressive just ones that were fixable. Zoie was never in danger and if I felt a problem dog was going to bite or didnt show any signs of relaxing I would advise the owner to back the dog up and we will try again another day. Joker was purchased for his easy going, well mannered temperament-I had wanted to do therapy dog with him. He could easily have done it. He is gentle with everything. He knows when to be gentle-he plays rough with the other shep's yet with Dixie, cats or the kids he is really easy. He wanted to lay down the other day, Dixie was by his left paw-he had his right front leg stretched out and held his left up until she moved.Sadly Joker was never socialized enough to pass TD testing-he developed demo mange within 2 weeks of purchase and it took a while to clear it up. I didnt want to take my dog in public with missing fur. for those who do not know-Demo mange is heriditary and not contagious. It is believed to come from a T cell immune deficiency. Humans as well as dogs have Demodex mites- in dogs with a family history of demo mange the mites grow out of control causing the fur to fall out, redness and other allergic reactions. It is also common in elderly or dogs with disorders such as cancer. Joker also has epilepsy-vet says he is a genetic mess=(. I gave birth to Angel. She was the 8th and the runt of the litter.11 hours of labor and Zoie had it rough getting Angel out. It took quite a while for Zoie to push her all the way and then Angel wasn't breathing. Tried vigorous rubbing with a towel, putting her in palm and sling from my head downward, bowl of ice water, and mouth to mouth-finally she was breathing. She was weak, I had to hold her on Zoie to drink and keep rubbing her little head to keep her gulping.Since she was the runt every feeding I would sit with Zoie & pups to make sure Angel got her share and the bullies didnt push her out of the way. I am not sure if its the fact I breathed life into her or the fact I was there with her everyday but she developed into the dog I dreamed of. She is extremly gentle & loving. Sorry for the novel on my doggies. Miss Dixie has decided it isnt time for bed yet-3:02 am and I am wooped needed something to keep awake=).
