| He hates them windchimes Last Thursday was very sad for my cousins. They had to say good bye to their home they grew up in. 20 years and both good and bad memories. It was one of the hardest things but they sold their mothers home. My aunt loved her bird houses and wind chimes. And had them both in front and back yards. I remember going to her house and wonder how they didn't go crazy with all those windchimes chiming. They were used to it and it didn't bother them in the least bit. After my aunt passed and they decided to sell the house they had yard sales to try and get rid of a lot of junk my aunt collected over they years. But there was no way they can part with the houses and chimes. As a matter of fact they were the very last things to be taken down the last day there. They did ask me to stop by to pick out a house or chime but I could not bring myself to go see that empty house. With all that had been going on with me and them, I figured they kept the ones they wanted and gave the rest of them away to family members and good friends of my aunt. This last weekend, I got a package in the mail. It was one of my aunts favorite windchimes. I had been with her when se got it. I think I was only 10 years old at the time. I had it in the box for 5 days and was going to pack it away, but decided to hang it in my back yard. Thinking it would drive me crazy, it really didn't. I love hearing it! I can't put into words how much joy it brings me. Gus on the other hand can not stand it. We had a storm rolling in this morning and was very windy and Gus went nuts. I tried to tell him it was aunt Nay stoping by to check up on us. (Not that he understood or anything) but it sure makes of feel so good to believe in that! Here is Gus going crazy barking at the windchimes and some pictures of what I feel is a part of her that will always be with me. http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?use...0&ctime=121713

| Boy he sure let his feelings be known! You know they say that dogs have a sixth sense about those type of things.... That they can feel or see or sense a spirit that us people aren't capable of feeling. You never know, maybe he was barking at her! He sure seemed to be focused and very serious about it... boy is he ever cute!

| This is the sweetest story- I think you should always keep that wind chime. What a sweet reminder of happy days. We have little angel chimes hanging in our kitchen and I gave our children a set to hang in their kitchens- when you notice it or accidental touch it and it chimes- I think of them. |

| I've never been big on windchimes, but I actually enjoy listening to this one. I think my aunt had so many that they were quite noisy. But having one is not all that loud and I find it peaceful and relaxing. And I do feel I have a part of her here with me.

| Your story was so sweet and so well written! I'm glad you got that windchime and I'm sure your aunt would be happy to know that you have it...especially since you were with her when she bought it! Your little Gus sure is a cutie!
