| Whimsey comes from an Italian line. They seem darker. Well in my breeders stock anyways. |

| I had 2 females with similar color to Whimsey, their saddle was black, face pure solid auburn, auburn legs, the other one had black saddle with blond/auburn face and legs. Whimsey's face with variation of colors is just beautiful.

Her Grandpa...I don't have pics of her dam and sire. But the Dam is the daughter from Italy.Shes darker. The Sire was from my area. My breeders. breeding. More light in color. No white just light steel blue vs dark steel blue. I tend to like the darker colors. But I think her head will lighten up. Looks like it is. She was really dark. And have more of a solid color. Doesn't matter she all sweetness anyways Last edited by ironmike86; 07-03-2015 at 04:43 PM. | |

| Seems the Yorkies I get go through 3 color changes. Moki is still changing at 3 yrs. He went light but seem to be getting a tanner color back. |

| Yep, colors keep changing you never know what color they end up being, I like the black saddle and auburn face / legs, I have not seen many with this coloring. Whimsey has such a sweet face, color doesn't matter in the end, but, the color stage she's at now is just beautiful. The show photo is gorgeous.

| Whimsy is very beautiful. All of your little ones are. Katie was with her breeder until she was three, so I didn't personally see her. But the photos that her breeder sent me and the ones on Katie's page on her website show she was darker than normal when she was younger. My little girl, Ashley, was darker when she was a year old, but her face was very blonde by the time she was three, and she was a lighter steel blue on her saddle. My first Yorkie stayed black for most of her life. I prefer the steel blue on the body, but I love all of the colors. This photo is of Katie when she was younger.

| Whimsy is beautiful! I'm sure she gets whatever she wants. You are right about colors. Max and Teddy are full brothers but went through completely different color changes. Max was darker and Teddy went through a white blond stage.
