| My Newest Fur-baby :) I've been meaning to post pictures and an introduction for quite some time but with finals and the holidays I got a little busy. I brought my baby home from the breeder on the 8th of December so I've had him for a month now. He is an absolute joy! He is constantly begging to be picked up and he loves to just fall asleep on my lap while I do work. He's also very playful, but he will take a nap if I put him in his crate. The only problem I've had with him is that he doesn't like to piddle on the newspapers I lay out for him. The breeder told me that she had started paper training, but my baby is a little hard-headed. He will poopie on the papers, but for some reason he refuses to piddle on them. He has been very easy to crate train, with no whining at night or when I put him in there when I can't watch him. He loves his big brothers, and they have been getting along great! I was really surprised how gentle the boys are with him. I attached pics of Mr. Big (named after Big on Sex and the City), and also some pics of the Dobies...enjoy |

| Congrats on your new baby - sure is cute! But I'd be afraid to have such a tiny dog with two large ones. I've never had a big dog so I'm not speaking from experience but yikes, yorkies are so fragile, it only takes once.

| Congrats on your newest fur baby. Mr. Big is a cute name. WOW Dobermans with a Yorkie, what a mix. But, I know you know the disposition best of your Dobies and would never place your Yorkie baby in harms way. I've heard of even the small breeds like a Chi, etc doing some serious damage to Yorkies so i know size don't matter. Patience I guess is the key with the potty breaking and not allowing Mr. Big run of the house. Good luck w/ all that. Schatzie is over a year and still has made potty errors from time to time. Knock on wood here but Ransom hasn't made a potty mistake yet since we've had him here. (two days now, LOL)

| Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome I've set up newspapers EVERYWHERE for him in case he needs to potty, so I'm hoping it wont be too much longer before he has less frequent accidents. It's funny because when the Dobies play together it seems so vicious (if you didn't know them), but when they play with Mr. Big they are very gentle. They're NEVER left unsupervised for even a second...I usually sit on the floor right next to them when they play. Big will usually grab on to their wiskers or bite their paws, lol. And when the Dobies are playing together he goes insane, barking at them and wanting to get down so he can play too. He'll hop right up to them barking and insisting they let him join the fun I'll try to get some video of them if I can borrow my friend's digital camera. |
