| Yorkshire Terriorists Tamed By Jackets Imagine Our surprise when Our Mommy and Our Daddy Went Christmas shopping yesterday and left US at home, claiming it was 'just too hot outside' for Us to wait in the truck while she and Our Daddy shopped. We do live in Florida, and the Weather is lovely here right now...but they left US at HOME !?!?! We got over it, though, because Our mommy came home with crinkly bags, and We love crinkly bags...and Our Mommy!!! In those crinkly bags Were mostly stuff for Us, of course. Our Mommy had bought Us, among other things, pink and blue jackets from MyYuppyPuppy, where We get groomed and get to pick out neat toys for being so good for Tenille, and yesterday We Were so excited We hardly let Our Mommy try the jackets on Us. In fact, Our Mommy threw her back out trying to put Bordy's jacket on him and had to quit. We Were both just so excited and hopping, and dancing, and twirling, and Our Mommy was trying so hard not to let Us jam Our eyes into her pointy birthstone ring with all Our bouncing. So, this this morning, while We Were still a little drowsy, she put them on Us to see if they fit...in case she needed to exchange them for size, etc. She also put matching, pink and blue feather boa hair clips in Our hair which she bought yesterday before she found the jackets. She had made the mistake of showing the hair clips to Us...and the light pink hair clips she got for Our Shih Tzu friend, Sunny, as a surprise for the next time We get to play with her...before she put them on Us, and We had thought they Were chew toys...and wow, do We like new chew toys!!! Now, keep in mind that We Yorkie kiddos are so cute that Our Mommy could never get upset with Us no matter how much We consider everything she gets for Us as 'chew toys' but, as usual, We started immediately trying to get the feather boa hair clips off Our top knots so We could play with them. So, because she has this notion that she will dress Us up in this getup some other time and take Us out somewhere, she took the clips out, and took Our jackets off...and that was when the magic happened. By way of explanation, Our Mommy is pretty certain I, Brody, have never worn clothes or top knots with my old family, and I, Mia, according to my former mommy, would not Wear a top knot, and did not like to Wear the clothes that my former mommy put on me all the time...that my New Mommy has tucked away for me for later. But, all of a sudden We realized...WE LOVE OUR JACKETS !!!!! So, while she was carrying the jackets to put them away, We, the 'Sullivan Yorkie Terriorists' started running, dancing, hopping, and jumping up all around Our Mommy, grabbing at Our jackets with Our teeth and pulling, etc., tring to get Our jackets back! Thinking that We wanted them as chew and tug toys, Our Mommy raised the jackets way above Our reach and both Us kiddos just sat down and looked up at her...in shock and so dejected, and feeling bad 'cuz We had confUsed Our Mommy with Our excitement! Well, I'll tell you what...Our Mommy understood, from Our behavior, that We wanted Our jackets back. So, she put Our jackets back on Us...and Our hair clips, too...and We posed so cute waiting for her to get her cellphone and take some photos, but We Were kind of tired from all that hopping and dancing, and the photos Were taking so long becaUse We just couldn't be still...but Our Mommy got some pictures of Us anyway that Our heads don't look like a cheerleader's pom poms at half time...and We have been Wearing Our jackets all day since then. Our Mommy did take the hair clips back out...so We could sleep, and We Were okay with that. She even sat down with Us and let Us sleep on her lap and next to her...putting Our legs on her so We Were more comfortable. But, the jig is now up and Our Mommy knows, apparently, that We LOVE being dressed up!!! How cool is that...e didn't even know before, either !!! We love it so much that when We needed to go outside...for...you know...We still wanted Our jackets on, and We...you know...and attacked each other, and rolled each other over in the dirt and played, and We laid in the dirt and sunbeams, and so much other fun stuff that Our Mommy finally had to pick Us up and tote Us back into the hoUse just to keep Us clean...er...cleaner! Oh, please forgive Us for Our dribbles on Our cUshion. Our Mommy always shares her mug of water with Us...We let her know We are thirsty by err-ing and looking back and forth betWeem her face and her...I mean, Our...mug of water...and is only too happy to get all of Us a fresh mug every time Our Mommy wants an un-Yorkied drink...but the water dribbles down Our chins while we lap it up and every now and then, Our Mommy has to Us-water-spot Our cushion...which she has not gotten around to, yet, 'cuz it's Christmas and there's cooking and shopping and all that stuff. Our Mommy also puts a fresh mug-sized-but -short-enough-for-Us soup cup of water down for Us, but to drink it, We have to get off her lap and off the Loveseat, and walk about a foot and a half away...and who needs that when We have taught Our Mommy to just fetch over her mug for Us!!! We hope you enjoy the pictures of Us, and We and Our Mommy and Daddy wish you all a very Merry Christmas! - Brody and Mia |

| Oh they DO try to eat the boas...Brody, especially. He is particularly quick at snatching them and running away. Fortunately, he is little and I am both big and quick, and I have been able to catch him and retrieve them from his little vice-grip jaws every time. They only try to get the boas when they are not in their hair, though...thank goodness. They could easily snatch them out of each other's hair while I wasn't looking and then I might be waiting a day or two before seeing them again...in which case I'd consider them single-use hair doodads! - Cat |
