Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Catching snowflakes on their tongues Jack and Eddie wasted no time in getting back into the swing of our Alaska weather. As much as they liked warm California, they are happy to be back in their routines. Rusty wasn't in to catching snowflakes, but he's been giving me the stink eye for leaving him behind.

| Good job, Mike!! I love seeing your boys in the snow! Toto loves it too, but the little Diva likes to either view it from a window or just stand on the porch high and dry and take a little lick!! What a girl! BTW ... any sign of a moose this year?! We saw hoof prints on our patio ... Patrick suspects a deer scaled the privacy wall! Today I saw cat prints out there ... Dear God, I pray it was just a little kitty cat?!?

No moose encounters to speak of this year. I've seen them, but the boys haven't. And that's just fine by me. Speaking of moose encounters, check out these ones we ran across while touring the area for Christmas lights. When I first saw them, I thought it was a Christmas lights display. And, no, the boys weren't in the car.

| Hi Mike, I love to see your pictures and the ones with your furkids in the snow are my favorite. I just wanted to know if you put special snow shoes on them if any?

I just wanted to know if you put special snow shoes on them if any?[/QUOTE Thanks, everybody. And lovemyyorkie, yes, when it's snowy out, I always put "booties" on them for long walks. I buy the simplest ones I can find. All they need is a waterproof sack to keep their feet off the surface of the snow. They don't need leather soles or fancy buckles or straps. Just a sack and a velcro strap at the top. If the snow isn't wet, a fleece sack works great. My current ones are a water resistant material with fleece inside. They don't need the fleece for warmth, but I spoil them sometimes. To be honest, I haven't found a place that makes ones I like in Yorkie-size. The last couple pairs I've had I had a friend make.
