| I miss Tisay so much.... Tisay left us last January 26....I will miss her so much, I'm not sure of what happened and all I know is that she had a diarrhea and when I woke up to bring her to vet....it's too late....I feel so sorry if I was so reckless (if I really am), all I know is that I'm doing the right thing... |

| This is a tough lesson for you. Puppies are fragile and even some things as seemingly relative harmless as diahrea can be deadly. There are times when you need to get a pet to the vet right then for life support and this was one of those cases. I am sorry for your loss

| I am so sorry to hear you have lost 2 puppies. It is a hard lesson to learn that when you are having eating and diarrhea issues you have to get them to a vet quickly. They are so small that the can go downhill very quickly. Sending prayers for the two puppy angels. |

Having just lost two of my own recently, I did everything possible for them. And to see that you didn't do anything for these babies just me so mad.

| Bogart was a big and healthy dog, he's with me for 8 years, he's my first pet. I can't remember him being sick until one night, we found him dead. I really don't know why, he didn't show anything like being weak except for refusing to eat one night and ate few in the morning but still energetic and back to normal again, which I thought was normal after new year because of those fire crackers, then like what I have said we found him dead.... As for Tisay she's my third dog, she's 3 years old and that was the first time that she got sick, I know that I made a mistake because it's already late when I discovered that she was suffering from diarrhea, I wasn't able to bring him to vet, it was late night and the next morning, it's too late...I really don't know what to do that night, that was my first time to deal with that problem. Other comments make me feel so bad, I know I made a big mistake, I know that I'm not knowledgeable enough for I don't know what's the first thing to do in such cases...you don't have to say it to my face |

| With any animal - the first sign of something not being right - YOU CALL THE VET!!! Dogs cannot tell you that there's something wrong with them - so with the first sign - you call the VET! You don't first come on here looking for answers. Although people here are very well informed - they are not doctors. There are 24 hour emergency vet numbers you can call!

| You are in Chicago! There are 24 hour Emergency vets there, so it is never too late at night to take your puppy in. No reason to wait until morning when it would be too late to save the puppy. Chicago Veterinary Emergency Services - Now Providing Chicago With Emergency Veterinary Care 24 Hours A Day, 7 Days A Week! Yorkies can go down so fast with diarrhea, as you should know just from reading this forum.

I'm very sorry for you babies...But what you should have done is found a ER Vet, You are in Chicago! There are 24 hour Emergency vets everywhere. Thats what you should have done!! My other advice is...until you do know how to care for an animal please don't get another. They are just like skin babies, they depend on us for everything food/water baths, warmth, love and Vet care keeping them healthy and happy...and when they don't feel good you get them to the Vet ASAP you drop everything and go...its better to be safe than sorry!

| I am sorry for your loss of two dogs recently... Were these dogs current on their vaccinations? This is important bc having two dogs in one household pass on so close together makes me suspicious that there may be a disease going on, or somehow both got into a toxin of some sort.... You should go all around your house and check for anything your dogs may have gotten into before something happens to the next one. Also I would advise you to clean you entire house with a diluted bleach solution... this will kill any virus or bacteria that may have been the cause of illness in your other 2 dogs. I see another name, Melba... is this a puppy? Is she current on her vaccines? I would have a vet check her out, just to be safe. Have you ever taken a dog to a vet? I don't know, I'm just asking... they aren't that expensive, esp for a check up. I would advise you to have Melba seen by a vet ASAP.
