| Question about spay I'm getting Madeleine spayed in 3 weeks. When I went in to make her appointment I asked if she needed to come in prior to the actual date of her getting spayed for a "pre-op" type visit and they said no. I've seen other YT members talk about getting blood work prior to getting spayed or neutured but my vet doesn't do any of that Should I be looking for a different vet? I just worry that something might come up that they weren't prepared for because they didn't check things out first. Am I over-reacting? Is my vet normal??

| My blood work was done at the time of the spay. They do it in the morning before surgery.

| Check and see if they do the pre-op bloodwork the morning of. If they don't offer it at all, definitely find another vet.
