| Suspicious invitation I received an email last week from a supposed member of a small dog group I just joined. We had had a meet-up and there were pictures posted of the different dogs that were there. The person that emailed me wasn't at the meetup but said she had a small poodle and she was looking for someone to have play dates with. She asked me if I wanted to get together with our dogs and have some fun. I answered that I would love that but we couldn't meet at our house because we are in the middle of fixing it up to sell it. She said there was a nice park near her house and named the park but I'm not familiar with it. I asked her if it had an enclosed area where the dogs could run around and she answered that she didn't think so. I then said I guess we could keep them on their leads. I never got a reply. My neighbor and the resident animal expert in our neighborhood thinks it was someone trying to lure me into bringing Adie to a secluded area so she could be easily snatched. I'm wondering the same thing. I have emailed the woman that is in charge of the group and told her what was going on and asked for information but haven't heard from her yet. There are no restrictions for joining this group. What do you guys think? The longer it goes without this person emailing me the more I believe it is possible. |

| I would be very careful with anyone who you feel uneasy with on the computer. If you are unsure than you are better off not going or going with someone and only to a public location that you are familiar with. You never know they may want to steal your dog or could even have worse intentions. Were there pics of you on the site?

| Maybe y'all could arrange to meet in a public place like PetSmart for your first meeting? Hopefully you'll hear good news from the woman in charge. I would be leary to meet at an unfamiliar place.

| It does sound a bit strange to me, Please be careful, so many people trying to steal our babies, how can you really trust anyone. I know that sad, but its reality I hope you hear back from site organizer.

| Better safe than sorry. I would be wondering myself why I did not get a response. Perhaps something came up for her and she has not had a chance to respond to you yet. In today's world you have to question everything, unfortuanately. |

| could be very possible, I would suggest meeting in a park your familiar with that way it's on your own terms. If they ever get back to you and decide to get together of course. |

| I wouldn't read too much into this just yet. She may have had something important come up. If she does get back to you I would suggest meeting with the rest of the group at a nice park. I wouldn't have any meet-ups at yours or anyones elses house unless your personal friends with them. Better safe than sorry. |

| Most definetly!!!! Your gut is definetly telling you this isnt right..I would also be very carefull with Adie at home too..I am not trying to scare you..its not my intention but people are so kooky and you just dont know where this lady REALLY is...people like that freak me out!! I dont think I would email someone out of the blue that I had never really talked to before and plan a meetup..there are a few nice people on here that I talk to regularly that I would feel more than comfortable meeting but if a new member joined YT and pm'd me for a meetup..I would not do it...nope lol..
