Suspicious invitation I received an email last week from a supposed member of a small dog group I just joined. We had had a meet-up and there were pictures posted of the different dogs that were there. The person that emailed me wasn't at the meetup but said she had a small poodle and she was looking for someone to have play dates with. She asked me if I wanted to get together with our dogs and have some fun. I answered that I would love that but we couldn't meet at our house because we are in the middle of fixing it up to sell it. She said there was a nice park near her house and named the park but I'm not familiar with it. I asked her if it had an enclosed area where the dogs could run around and she answered that she didn't think so. I then said I guess we could keep them on their leads. I never got a reply.
My neighbor and the resident animal expert in our neighborhood thinks it was someone trying to lure me into bringing Adie to a secluded area so she could be easily snatched. I'm wondering the same thing. I have emailed the woman that is in charge of the group and told her what was going on and asked for information but haven't heard from her yet. There are no restrictions for joining this group. What do you guys think? The longer it goes without this person emailing me the more I believe it is possible. |
