| Swimming lesson I was wondering how Jack was going to take to water, so yesterday I walked him down to the lake behind my friend's house. The water was very calm, clear and warm, and I put him in it up to his knees. He backed off and just looked puzzled. Then a boat went bye and so the water started lapping at the shore. He went balistic, growling and snapping at the little waves. Then all of a sudden I think he must have seen a fish, because he took two leaps into the water and before I knew it he was out of his depth swimming like mad. Luckily I had on his harness and leash. It was really a funny sight, and now I know that he can swim. I have a life jacket for when we go out on the boat, but I wanted to see what he would do by the shore. After he went to the waters edge with no problem, so one more lesson under his belt. He just turned 8 months old and is the light of my life.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | HOW CUTE !! That's so great that he likes the water - that was a good sign and now you can get him his very own life jacket and take him swimming with you - That had to be melting your heart watching him in the water ! |

| I bought a life jacket for him about a month ago, but someone tried to steal our boat and took out the ignition, so I haven't been able to take him out yet. I see dogs all the time out with their owners on boats and it looks so cute. My grandkids can't wait to get him on a air bed, but we will have to see about that.

| Little guy might decide to bite the airbed.....now that is a funny pic. Like Insp. Closseau in Pink Panther flying around as the air escapes from the air mattress. Okay, My imagination is reigned in.. Just kidding!!! |
