YT 500 Club Member | What do you do? We just took a two day trip (450 miles each way), and Sophie went along. She is a great traveler and has been doing it for most of her six years. She stays in motels well, and she rides in the car well, usually on my lap . The one problem is that she does not like to eat when we are away. I usually leave food out for her the entire time just to allow her to eat when she is ready. She usually eats twice a day at home. However, I don't think she ate much at all. Maybe nothing, the two days. The other problem is that my husband loves to snack in the car on a road trip. Sophie thinks she needs his food. He is usually pretty good about not giving her much, but he will slip her an occasional very small snack. It is never enough to get her fill or not allow her to be hungry. He feels that she at least needs something. I don't know what to do. I told him the next time that we will take along some healthy snacks she may like along with her dog food, but what do you all do, or do you have this problem?

| I think bringing her healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables might be the way to go.

| Do you have regular feeding and walking schedule? If you do the road trip is probably throwing that all off, if possible stop to feed and walk her when you usually do at home. Different surroundings could make her unsure of eating also. |

| Persnoally..I wouldn't feed Cali in the car cause she'll get car sick..but that's just her. So I dont have to worry about bringing snack along for her But..when we go anywhere she doesn't eat like she's at home, either. I usually have to play with her to get her to eat her food and make her think they're really treats! haha
