MissSophie | 09-27-2007 05:40 AM | What do you do? We just took a two day trip (450 miles each way), and Sophie went along. She is a great traveler and has been doing it for most of her six years. She stays in motels well, and she rides in the car well, usually on my lap ;). The one problem is that she does not like to eat when we are away. I usually leave food out for her the entire time just to allow her to eat when she is ready. She usually eats twice a day at home. However, I don't think she ate much at all. Maybe nothing, the two days. The other problem is that my husband loves to snack in the car on a road trip. Sophie thinks she needs his food. He is usually pretty good about not giving her much, but he will slip her an occasional very small snack. It is never enough to get her fill or not allow her to be hungry. He feels that she at least needs something. I don't know what to do. I told him the next time that we will take along some healthy snacks she may like along with her dog food, but what do you all do, or do you have this problem? |
