| Help Quick! Dakota just fell out of my hand and hit the ground!!! She peed all over herself. She roled around becasue she couldn't walk, then she started to walk, and shes limping on her back left leg. Should i take her to the Emergency vet? Shes just sitting here looking at me now, shes not running away or anything??? |

| If she isn't acting normal I would take her to the vet...asap, if she is walking, running and acting like she always does, maybe a little limp and she isn't crying when you touch her I would wait untill tomorrow...but if you not sure take her on....Hope she is fine....

| I agree, if she's not acting normal then take her in to make sure she didn't break anything. I hope she's okay!

| She might just be afraid. I would wait unless she is showing signs of distress, like crying or whimpering. I would also try and gently move her legs and rub her to see if any particular part makes her whine, if so, I would take her in, if not I would wait a little and keep a very close eye on her, wouldn't let her out of my site until I wa sure she was fine. Good luck, I hope she is OKay... Also, it would probable soothe her if she is afraid to set her on your lap and just pet her and speak to her in a soft voice to reassure her everything is okay...

| I would agree that if she isn't acting normal I would take her in. I'm sure she is scared, but watch if she falls asleep soon (and it isn't a normal sleep time for her). If she appears fine tonight but is still limping tomorrow, I would take her in to be checked. Good luck, I hope she is just fine......

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Ooooo, scary. I know exactly how you feel. Take her out of her crate and try to watch her walk on some carpet. She could be just scared/stunned. Also, give some karo syrup if she seems shaky. If you think she really hit her head bad, keep a very close eye on her or take her to the vet asap.

| I just took her out, and shes walking fine. I think she was scared more than anything. Shes in my lap. I think she will be ok. If she acts funny I will take her to the vet, otherwise I will prob take her tomorrow reguardless. |

| I'm glad she's seems ok. These lil ones give us such scares. This accident reminds me of the one my Rubi had when she was a puppy. She slipped through my hand and fell on the floor and like you said she rolled over and she couldn't get back on her feet. Then she got back up but was limping. At the end it was nothing, just some muscular pain on one of her forelegs. She limped for almost a weak but she was herself happy and playful. I hope yours stays fine. | Omg! I agree, if she is acting even the slightest bit funny take her right to the vet! They are so tiny and even a small fall can seriously injure them.
