| Sleep deprivation My vet told me to get Children's Benadryl Allergy and give it to Gracie to help her sleep. I never gave it to her until we went out of town and stayed in a hotel. Well, it did not work. She never got drowsy but she did bark at every single noise at the hotel... We tried it after we got home once, but it did not work then either. Is there anything else I could give her to make her drowsy? Although I would be tempted, I would not give it to her unless it was an odd situation like we are out of town. Any suggestions? |

| My vet gave me some tranqulizers for Cookie for when we first took her to the groomer. I never did use them though because we didn't want to if we didn't have to. But that might be a good solution for a rare situation. |

| When Linus won't calm down, I put him in the bathtub filled a little more than how high he can stand and make him swim around a little bit (with constant supervision of course). Then I put just a little bit of lavender baby soap in with his puppy shampoo and he calms down almost immediately. Lavender is soothing to babies, and I have heard to dogs too. I think he just wears himself out. But he may just do that because he's a puppy.
