Donating YT 11K Club Member | Don't know where to leave them I am going to DR in August for a week and I can't take Teddy and London with me. My mom works, and although she's very good with them she's not as watchful with them as I am so I don't want to leave them with her. And I want them to get the attention they need and not be depressed while I'm gone. Teddy's not neutered and London isn't fixed yet cause of her size so when I am gone I leave them in seperate rooms and most of the time I am with them both. They play fight and I watch them carefully cause of size but my mom won't be able to do that. I am scared to leave them in a daycare or board them cause I never have and don't trust them. IDk what to do...I will miss them so much that week

| Oh I hope you find someone. Why don't you post in the Regional forum. I'm sure something will pop up. I would do it if I was there.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I have a friend that has a yorkie but they barely take care of it themselves and all they feed it is table food, everything they eat he eats....no way would I leave my two with them. My other friends are very busy, go out a lot and don't know about dogs, etc. I don't think my vet does that...thanks for your help! Maybe I'll ask them

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Albany's a little far. My mom wouldn't drive me up there, my brother lives in Nyack and that's about as far as she goes. I wish I could, Teddy and London would have so much fun with Simon and Hallie! I'm going to see if I can find a way to get up there somehow, I'm crossing my fingers!

| I'm in the same position. I just had a conversation with my sister tonight. She is somewhat offended that I "don't trust" her to let my dogs out. It's her kids. I tried to explain to her that just a small hesitation with closing the door, or getting distracted and not shutting the gate, and my boy is GONE. It's not HER children, it's children in general. They don't realize or pay enough attention. I don't blame them, they're kids, they're supposed to have short attention spans, but I'm not taking that chance. They think I'm way overprotective but have agreed in the future to come and let them out without the kids if I ever need them. I tend to not go places because I don't trust anyone. Not the best way to live, I know. So I understand. Try to find someone to come stay at your house.
