| Fire Ants!.... I am so scared to let Mackenzie run around the yard without me right behind her watching her every step, worried she may find herself in a fire ant bed! I scour the yard all the time and treat it with those granuals (can't remember the name of the brand) But I'm so scared she will become covered by those monsters and not have a chance if I'm not right there to save her! It wouldn't take long for them to cover her, she is so tiny... anyone who has dealt with these things knows how quickly they move, they are awful!..anyway...my question was.....What is the best product out there to rid your yard of these terrible pests?....I'd love any advice....Thank you!

| WOW, we don't have that scare here in Pennsylvania, how terrifying! With an ant I know they can attack just because you are in their line of fire. If it were fleas I'd be able to help you. I'd continue to be extremely cautious as you are!!!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | We have them in Texas ...bad...I've seen 3 feet high mounds. My girls have not ever been attacked - I treat my yard every 2-1/2 - 3 months and spray 6 feet into my neighbors yards...I use Ortho and Bayer Sprays - I do it early evening and let it dry all night - if you have a front and back yard...do one one day - then the other the next so your baby can use the yard if they need to. As long as you let it dry they're ok - I've been doing this for 8 years and never had a problem. |
