| Rats! Rats1 Rats! oh & a Vole!!!!! I was reading a thread today about a yorkie pining a rat to the wall, well I have to tell you this happened to me today Dennis & Lilly were out running in a field near my home, then without warning Lilly seemed to disappear behind a bush and emerged with a very large rat!!!! It did try to fight back but alas it had no chance, before I could intervene it was dead, Dennis has also had a run in with a rat and recently a vole in the garden that seemed to cause him far more of a problem! Little lions least we forget their heritage X |

| For a short time I had a groundhog living under my minibarn. I wasn't worried it would attack my dogs, I was worried Otis would get a hold of it. I was scared that if it tried to defend itself, it would hurt him. Luckily, the groundhog decided to move next door, and now lives comfortably under my neighbors minibarn. I know my 7 pound boy would NOT have hesitated to try to tear that groundhog to pieces, even though it probably weighed at least 5 pounds more than him.

| This is just a sidenote to the original post, but I'm wondering how my yorkie will act around my pet rat. Will he constantly harass his cage? Would it help if the rat's cage was up on a high bookshelf? Will I ever be able to hold the rat while my yorkie is around?
