| Not real sure what to do here... So, we're in search for a dog for my daughter. In our search, I came across an ad for a Yorkie for $100. I was curious, intruiged, and somewhat turned off. But my curiosity got the best of me.... I went to go see the "yorkie" - I really don't think she's pure. Do any yorkies have long tails? Mine don't, but other than that, she does look all yorkie. Apparently she's about 4 years old - and has lived in a puppymill forever. She gave birth about 7 weeks ago. She's really NOT what I was looking for, and I'm still not sure what to do with her exactly, but my heart broke for her. Apparently they decided they were done with her, so they put her up for $100 and if no one took her, they were going to euthanize her. Once I realized what was going on, I got a little pissed, handed them $100, and loaded her up. I don't know that I want her, hubby will probably shoot me LOL, but I couldn't leave her there. Help? Suggestions?

| Yeah, I don't really know what to do. She seems very sweet. The people "didn't know her name", they finally made one up and told me, but she's obviously never been called by name. She's very oblivious when I try to call her. She needs lots of TLC. I imagine when hubby gets home (soon) and sees her... after he passes out and gets done fussing LOL... I'll put her up for needing a new home? I may even take her to get groomed tomorrow. Wouldn't hurt to take her to the vet either if we have her more than a few days. They said her vaccinations are current, but it never hurts to be checked up.

| Oh, but they also gave me no papers at all concerning her "current shots" - makes me wonder if she really is.

| I doubt she is currently up to date on anything. Poor little thing was probably raised in a cage. Ugh! You could always contact one of the Yorkie Purebred rescue associations because you wouldn't want her to end up with someone who will use her up for breeding purposes. It is wonderful that you saved her life.

| No, we can't keep her. It's just not possible. Right now we're in an apartment with 3 dogs - the limit is 2. Also, once we move home, my daughter's getting a dog, and my husband's dog is coming home. That's extremely too many dogs to give this baby the TLC and attention she needs. At least for a student who is barely making it right now..
