| is there a way to tell... sorry to be posting so many topics, this is the last i promise im searching for my perfect yorkie, looking on the boards a while a go i came across this picture. sorry i can't remeber whos picture it is. so i am sorry for not asking permission to use it. i understand both the yorkies are girls in this picture, i am looking for a girl like the baby on the right, feminine face, long tiny nose, small head. is this a special 'type' of yorkie? how can i tell when veiwing a puppy weather she will grow up to look like the dog on the right or on the left? once again thank you so much for your help guys.

| She looks like My Jewels. She had very small facial features even as a puppy and thats what I would look for. Some breeders describe them as baby doll faced

| If you really want your baby to have a certain look, maybe you can get one that is 6months old, so you can see more of what they are going to look at when they "grow up" Good luck finding your baby!

| id never thought of that, i just wondered if there was something to look for in puppyhood that would determine the look? so i guess its just luck which 'look' you get then? im willing to take my chances with a puppy :P im already trying to get boyfriend around to having two babies so they can play and keep each other company! im sure after he sees how much he will love the first babygirl, he will have no objections! hehe!

| I think the one on the right is babyface or dollface. just look for a pup with a short nose i suppose lol i remember trying to find the perfect bichon, i found the perfect puppy and he ended up a 22 pound, out of standard, chubby lil fella who i love more than any "perfect bichon" |

| Look for a puppy with a short nose and tiny features. Look at the difference between my Ollie and Chachi. And Harlie and Hallie. Ollie and Harlie both have tiny features, they were tiny when i got them. Go to my website and look at the difference in Ollie and Chachi's baby pictures. |

| I think it will help if you look at the parents just to see how the pup may look like |

I have two Bichons, one weighs 12 pounds and the other weighs 13 pounds. It's hard to tell when they're puppies, for sure. My two came from two different places and we didn't know what we were doing when we got them, but both of them are perfect. I know of a Bichon who weighs 33 pounds and he's absolutely gorgeous and a Bichon through and through! A lot of the Bichons I know are around 18-20 pounds or more. Bichons or Yorkies, size doesn't seem to matter at all. We love them just the same. | |
