| My baby (and brother) ran away! I am currently doggy sitting Ceiba's brother Ace and yesterday, I had them both in the (fenced) backyard while my sister and I were in the pool area talking. Well, I noted it was waaaay too quiet and I got up to see what those 2 were up to. I looked and looked and didn't see them. My heart just DROPPED and I went into panic mode. I ran inside and yelled at hubby to help me look for them - that either someone stole them or they ran away!!! I ran out the front door and started yelling for them at the top of my lungs, tears coming out and everything. Then hubby yells back to me to settle down, he found them. I ran to the back yard again to see where they were. They found a hole under our fence and had sneaked under the fence to the neighbors yard. We couldn't get into the neighbors fence b/c it was locked so we had to coax the pups to come back under the fence. They finally did after 15 min but wow! what an awful feeling to think I wouldn't see them again! All I could think of in those few minutes was 'I KNEW I should have microchipped her!' and 'People really ARE stealing pets!' and 'How could this happen?!'. Maybe it's human nature to assume the worst? Anyway, SO glad I found them both safe and sound - I think I lost a year of my life in those few seconds of terror! Has this sort of thing happened to anyone here on YT? (Please tell me I'm not the only one!) |

| OMG hunny I would have freaked out too!!! Thank GOD you found them. Mischiveious little babies! Actually something kinda similar happened to me once when I only had Louie. I was at my sons football game with my daughter and we were standing up on a hill standing against a fence with a cemetary on the other side. I had Louie in his harness and on the leash and while I was watching the game ( I swear I only took my eyes off him for a minute and he was on the leash that I was naturally holding)......well anyways, next thing I knew he had scoochied his way under the fence and was now on the other side...when I tried pulling on the leash to get him back to my side and scooched out of his harnes and was FREE!! I was soooo scared! This fence went around the entire park and I had NO IDEA where there was an entrance for me to get over there and it was really high! My daughter then developed "super human powers" and actually pulled the bottom of this really tough wire fence up and we coaxed him back over to us. Scariest day of my life I swear! I needed botox injections from the stress marks on my face and a trip to the hairdresser to cover the instant graying of my hair. LOL

| I swear that Sissy found every tiny nook and cranny she could get under or through in the past year. We have to many rocks, bricks and wood pieces blocking her access it looks ridiculous. Never underestimate the size of the space versus the size of your pup - determination somehow makes them very tiny!!!!! Glad your babies were safe and sound!!

| Yes, I'm to blame for my own fright. I thought it was ok since we were all in the backyard. I now know I can't take my eyes off them for second! I ASSURE you it WON'T happen again! Those (naughty!) puppies won't be out of my eyesight again!! On a side note, we are doggy sitting Ace, right? Well, all week I had been joking to hubby that I was gonna tell my MIL that the puppies ran away and we could only find Ceiba (so we could keep Ace!). I tell you, it was NOT FUNNY when I thought they really ran away. I won't even joke about that anymore! |

| Well, my Louie was on his Leash and I was HOLDING it. I too would never ever leave them outside or even be outside without them on a leash with ME holding it. Too much can happen to quickly.

| How well I know that horribly sick feeling when you can't find your babies!!!!! I am so happy for you that you found them!!!!! That reminds my (and you), that I MUST have my little Mango microshipped. Isn't just too cute though, the way the 2 little rascals stuck together and sneaked under that fence? It always amazes me how curious and mischievious these little Yorkie morsels of ours are. |

| OMG I bet you were frantic. My little weasels are always getting under the fence too, but I live on an acreage so they don't go too far, but man they sure have fun while they're out. I keep blocking the holes and then they'll find a ndew one. soon I'll have my entire fence lined with concrete blocks. |

| I just want to clarify that we were ALL outside in the backyard - me, my sister and 2 pups. The pups were not alone unsupervised...I just wasn't watching them as closely as I should have... |

I hope you can see this diagram of my backyard so you can see what I meant when I said that they (the pups) were in the backyard and we (my sister and I) were in the pool cage area - it's all in the same backyard. Sorry, just feeling a little slammed by the poll that you posted shortly after responding to me (asking if you would leave your pup outside unattended....) | |

LOL. I love the diagram! Don't take it personally though, I'm sure she just meant that she was shocked that so many people do leave there dogs alone. But it's a good thing you were there, or else it would have taken you longer to realize that they were gone. But hey, they're dogs... they live to explore... they just don't understand that when they disappear, we have heart attacks. lol. A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend and I were washing our cars, so I tied Mr. Biggs to a tree, I laid a towel out for him, and I even put up an unbrella for shade, and gave him nice cold water. But aparently that wasn't enough for him. We were washing the cars and all of a sudden realized..."why is it so quite?" Yep, sure enough, he somehow squeezed out of his harness and went wandering by the trees, then down by the lake, and when we went after him, he thought it was a gave and kept running away. I sware I was freaking out! But hey, it happens to the best of us! Just thank god you realized that they were gone so quickly.
