| Hmmm which part of him is it that smells? Could it be his underbelly? maybe urine is touching his tummy, because he squats too low, so he ends up smelling. Is it all of him that smells, just his breath, his under side?

| What is it that smells bad? As a puppy, he shouldn't smell bad unless a piece of poop got caught in his hair Is it his breath? Yorkies are known to have weak teeth and bad breath (but as an adult)..you should start early and wipe his teeth with puppy dental wipes...just wrap the wipe around a finger and stick your finger in his mouth...clean around his teeth (it's easier than toothbrush) Sometimes, if your puppy tears a lot, his eye boogers may build up and smell....just make sure you get a warm cloth and clean around his eyes. Hope this helps! There is also dog perfume at petsmart/petco |

| What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use. I use biogroom and bathe my yorkies once a week and they never have dog smell

| Is he perhaps splashing in his water bowl, or running outside to play a lot? No matter how good the shampoo is, if your pup is really playing outside a lot and roughing it up he will smell a bit. I don't know if dogs are like humans, where some just have a weird or natural body odor

| Hmmm I would just try to switch his food and monitor what he does more closely. Maybe he's doing something that is making him smell This is strange, I've never heard of just random smelling puppy. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

| Sometimes a bacteria or fungus can cause bad smells. Those are generally caused by poor diet. I don't think either on of the dog foods you have and are feeding are good ones at all. |

| I would have him checked out by a vet for any underlying problems. It is not normal for a puppy to smell bad. They all smell so good when they are young. If he is on a good diet, bathed and not into dirt, poop etc there is no reason for him to smell. It is coming from his ears maybe? |

| if you just got him a week and a half ago and bath him every 5-7 days i would assume you have only bathed him one time or twice at the most. Maybe yu should do a few more baths and then decide. I know here at the rescue it sometimes takes 4-5 baths before I can get that "Dog" smell off them
