Pet Boarding Can you recomend a place to board my dog. I've never left her overnight at a boarding facility and I am freaking out. My daughter who is in college usually takes care of her, but I planned a vacation next week without realizing that my daughter was not off from school. Dezi goes to doggie day care at Petsmart, but I do not want to board her there because I think she will suffer being crated all night. I live in Secaucus, New Jersey. I am willing to travel.

I don't have a recommendation for you but I just wanted to suggest that you try to find a place that offers cage-free facilities. There should be a few in your area. Why don't you call your vet and ask them if they can recommend anywhere? They might be a bit more expensive (one near me is about $40/night) but I'd pay it for the comfort of knowing my baby's not locked in a cage. Mine also offers daily email updates and a webcam. I haven't had to use them yet but I've got them lined up for if I do. Good luck finding a spot for your baby!

Yes, that is why I will not let her stay at Petsmart. She loves daycare at petsmart, but she is not happy when she is caged. I will pay the extra money as long as I know she is comfortable. Thanks.
