| you study your dogs pedigree. If it is AKc, you can order one. get a three or four generation pedigree and start researching the names on it. AKC does put the champions in red. My AKC pedigrees have names of other champions that were dual registered but they don't show up in red. only the AKC ones. That's how you know if you have a good bloodline or not. That's why puppies that you want over five hundred dollars for here in kentucky, don't sell. i have called so called breeders about puppies and asked what is their bloodline. They don't have a clue. needless to say, I didn't buy. And when i talk to people about my line they just look at me with blank expressions. i have done so much research on my dogs that it is very hard for me to understand why people don't even know what bloodline their dog is from. of course if you were just buying a little pet, it wouldn't make much difference . |

| Well I guess I fall under your shameful catergory because I don't know a thing about Bailey's bloodline, I'm sure alot of people go by the breeder's history and the parents (well thats what I did)........I do have the 4 generation Pedigree and I will start researching the names.....Thanks!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When I got Pixie the breeder gave me her pedigree as she had registered her already. Pixie's father is a champion and her pedigree is full of red champions on both the mother and fathers side, with Stardust, Rothby's and Altratam lines.

| I wanted to add that even though your AKC pedigree doesnt show champions that doesnt mean that they arent champions, just not AKC champions. I have dogs that have numerous champions but they are imported and are champions in other countries and it doesnt show up on the AKC papers. You do have to research your dogs and find those answers because the AKC pedigree doesnt always tell the whole story. |

| Just type in some of the names in the search engines and see what you find. You never know. It is very exciting when you can find pictures and information about your dogs lineage. You can see what those dogs look like and how they compare to your dog. You can also see who that dog was also bred too and what their litters produced. There is alot too learn and it is interesting even if you arent thinking of breeding. It is still good to know a little about where your dog came from. Let us know whay you find out or post some of the names here and maybe some the the YT members can help you out with them. It worth a try. |

| You would first have to look around and establish the most well known lines/show breeders and great dogs od the breed and determine how many of these bloodlines appear in your pups pedigree. One or two is no good. If there there consistent through out the pedigree then you have a winner. |

| I recently tried to find pictures of some of Jadens relatives and figure out his pedigree which was quite a challenge as he has 67 champions in his pedigree and to figure out who is what...well, lets just say my face looked something like this I finally figured out how to read his pedigree and found many pictures of his relatives here: www.sweetyblue.com Jadens made bloodlines consists of : Ozmillion, Elite, Mistangay, Pastoral, Wolpert,Yorkboro, Jofrey, Durrers, Sorellas, and Montclair and most of those names repeate themselves a lot within his pedigree just with different champions behind the bloodlines. |

| pedigree You want the pedigree as red as possible...Kate's grandmother, Katherine's ped was all red for the first 3 generations, including her, meaning every dog and bitch was a finished champion.....I was not the breeder of Katherine, so I can brag...I admire the breeder very much for her hard work. |
