| Is this normal for teething? I know there are a million threads on this but I couldnt find exactly what I'm asking for....or I didnt read all of them I was just wondering if it is normal for my 5 month old to be tearing more than normal while he is teething. I just noticed yesturday he has lost two teeth on the top and two on the bottom and is chewing like crazy. But he has also begun tearing more than he usually does so I wanted to make sure this is a normal side effect of tearing......and of course I turn to the experts. Any advice is appreciated!! Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours......... |

| I read somewhere (I don't remeber where) that they'll tear more when they're teething. Cash tears a lot to begin with but now that he's teething, the hair around his eyes are constantly soaked so the vet said it was fine as long as I try to keep it as dry as possible or he may develop dermatitis in that area.

| I agree - puppies do tear more when they are teething. I remember constantly drying my puppy's face when he was teething. Carol Jean |
