| Maybe you could bring a little blankie for Tila and her bed if its not too big? That should keep her warm and cozy. |

| Does she go in the car now? If not, you should start with short trips and then longer to get her used to being in the car. Do you have a carseat for her? Mine love their carseat because they are up high and can see out. Plus, they are strapped in and safer. Mine love car trips - they sleep mostly. I take water and food in little dishes in the car so they can eat and drink when they want. I also bring a bottle of water and just put a little bit out in the dish - and then put the cap back on the bottle - that way if the dish should spill, not too much gets on the car. We also bring chew toys, and they chew them for about 5 mins after a stop, then they pass out asleep. We stop at rest stops, etc for them to potty. You have to really be careful about the trash around these places - if your baby is likely to pick up something from the ground. My Rexy will eat ANYTHING, but Rowdy won't touch a thing on the ground, so thank goodness, I only have to watch one of them. We carry poop bags to pick up after them - on trips I ALWAYS have bags in my pocket. When we travel, we take their beds so that they can feel a little like home. They actually sleep with us, but have beds in the den where they sleep during the day. If we will be out and about with them, we take a stroller or backpack carrier. I can't give you any advice about the snow - we live in Texas! Good luck, I'm sure she will do fine!

I woudn't worry about the long drive - this summer we traveled 3500 miles with our boyz and they did great! They actually sleep most of the time, as I mentioned. I forgot to say that we do have sweaters for our boyz - when we camp in the mountains in the summer - it gets into the 30's in the early morning and they shake and shiver like no get out! If your baby is not used to wearing clothes, some don't like it at first - so I would get her used to it before going. When it is really cold and I take them out to potty - I take a blanket along with me and after they "go", I pick them up and wrap the blanket around them so they can get warm while we walk back to the RV.

| Well I've been wanting to purchase a car seat for a while now Tila is 9 months she's pretty used to the car but I'm afraid she might get car sick, because it's happened before I think the longest car ride she has had was about 45 minutes she hates those how often should I give her a bathroom break? I'm not sure because she just goes inside on paper, so ugh that's a difficult one! I was thinking of getting THIS car seat It goes in the middle console and I think that might be good because Tila is quite the attention whore being an only child do you think it's safe enough? I was thinking THESE would be good for the snow, but would actual shoes be better or what??? Also, which of these 2 sweaters do you think would be better for the snow? It's gonna be like 30' during warm parts of the day! Dog Snow Suit? Jacket Coat thing? thanks everyone! |

| Yes, I have the console carseat and my guys love it because they are right up by your face and so they can be right beside you and they can see out. I think she will like riding in the car better in the carseat. Sorry I can't help you with the sweaters. We stop every couple of hours or so - mine just pass out and sleep till we stop but sometimes they wake up and start acting restless, we always stop then too. You might put a pee pad in the floorboard when you stop and see if she will use it in the car. My guys go outside so I didn't have that issue.

| thanks! I just went to petco and they had these really cheap pee pad holder things kind of like the wizdog, not as nice, but will do!! I thought that'd be a good idea to take along, of course we've started using it already, but I don't think she understands ha ha I wish there was a spray, so I could just spray the newspaper or pad and she'll know but... no luck yet!! Ya I think Tila will like the console better, she hates being alone. I'm trying to find a cheap one! we've been looking around, and petco is 49 so I guess that's the best, we went down there but they don't have them in the store, so we have to pay S&H |

| Mine love the console car seat! I let them take turns using the console seat and put the other 3 in the outlook car seat in the back. It is a treat for whoevers turn it is to ride up front. I love the dog snowsuit you found. I found a website with lots of coats and all their clothes are super reasonable. http://www.petedge.com/jump.jsp?item...DEX&itemID=606 They had shoes also. http://www.petedge.com/jump.jsp?item...DEX&itemID=605 I ordered a bunch of stuff for my dogs and can't wait to get it. We took a 2 day 24 hour trip this summer and the dogs did great in the car. They did sleep alot and we stopped every couple of hours to let them stretch and go potty. |

| (didn't mean to post twice, and just noticed it!) thanks for that site, there's a lot of great stuff that we'll "need" ha ha! so you think every couple hours? idk how Tila is going to do, because I don't think she'll know that she needs to go to the bathroom now that we've stopped ha ha! She'll be like "it's cold, why are you putting me here?" and just whine to be picked up!! thanks again for the advice and site! |

| here is how we travel with them... [FONT="System"][SIZE="1"][COLOR="DarkOrchid"][B]We fold the back seats of our 4 door super crew truck and cover them with a thick blanket. They have their own travelling bed which we take with us everywhere we go. It stays in the same spot which is in the right hand corner of the folded seats and on the left hand side corner is a pee pad which hardly gets used because they'd rather go potty on the rest areas. We always travel with plastic bowls, treats, toys, kibbles, emergency remedies (nutrical, pepto-bismol), pee pads, baby wipes. And we feed them on their regular feeding time to avoid stress. They loved the snow. When Cleo gets tired I put her in a front pouch carrier and my husband carries Ceasar (he hates being in a bag) in his arms or inside his jackets. I attached some photos too. Have a safe trip! |

| My Rowdy does not eat very well when we are traveling - so we bring some of his favorite foods - toddler (human) chicken sticks and packaged wet food. I also bring pepto bismal, in case of upset stomachs or diarrhea. We are usually on the road for a long time so they have their own bag with lots of toys, brush & comb.
