I woudn't worry about the long drive - this summer we traveled 3500 miles with our boyz and they did great! They actually sleep most of the time, as I mentioned.
I forgot to say that we do have sweaters for our boyz - when we camp in the mountains in the summer - it gets into the 30's in the early morning and they shake and shiver like no get out! If your baby is not used to wearing clothes, some don't like it at first - so I would get her used to it before going.
When it is really cold and I take them out to potty - I take a blanket along with me and after they "go", I pick them up and wrap the blanket around them so they can get warm while we walk back to the RV.
