Rudy gets neutered Tues Finally he is going to be neutered. He is 10 months now and I have been trying to have him neutered since he was 7 months old. I haven't said anything to him lol because the last two times he ran around in the water and got tonsillitis Doc said I can take him in at 10 am and pick him up that afternoon. Don't know why but Rudy can't stand to be in a cage and when he is in one he barks and won't stop. He is very head strong. Please keep my little Rudy in your prayers. Will let you all know how he is when I get him home.....................Cindy

I've just said a little prayer for Rudy. I know just how you feel.....I was so nervous when Higgins had to have anesthesia. Please get right on here after he gets home and let us know how he's doing. Hugs to you both from me and Higgins.

Rexi getting neutered tomorrow also He will be spending the night at a hospital. I am taking him to UC Davis Vet hospital and he will be fasting tomorrow and having surgery the following day. I just wish they wouldn't keep him so long. By the way, I've been told it's a good idea to make sure they use Isoflurane and not any barbituates particaularly not pentabarb which can be lethal to Yorkies.

It is such a worrying time I know! I was frantic when Gypsy Rose was spayed but after the 1st 24 hours I just couldn't believe how good she was! Naturally it's worse for a female too so they'll be fine! However, I know you won't believe us until you have your babies right back home where they belong!! Ana xxxx

| Cindy & Darish ... we will definitely keep your babies in our prayers! Sounds like both your babies will have very competent care ... but having been in your position with my Toto ... there is absolutely no consolation until you get your baby back in your arms! Do let us know how they are doing as soon as you can!!

Your babies will be in my prayers. My 7 year old chihuahua got spayed like a week ago. I was going nuts days before a wanted to faint when I picked her up , BUT I guess she didn't feel like me lol she did great I am such a freak when it comes to my puppies everybody was mad at me since I got her spayed on a Friday right before my uncles wedding on Saturday which I didn't go to because I didnt want to leave her alone. Guess our lil guys are stronger than we are. They will be fine which I learned the hard way lol...

Been there, done that a couple weeks ago. It's nerve-wracking! When I picked Tatum up that afternoon (she didn't have to stay overnight), she was so mad at me she wouldn't even look me in the eye. I too stayed home with her the next day although the vet said try not to treat her any different because they feed off of that. But we laid on the couch most of the day and just kept her quiet. Don't know much about boys though but I'm sure it will all be fine. But of course you worry! Good luck! -Angie

I became nervous just reading these emails and having visuals when Schatzie comes to the age to be fixed. I know how frantic you are but rest assured your baby(s) will be back with you soon!! I feel like Schatzie will be too scared to be by herself over night at the vet, makes me an absolute nervous wreck. So, I so much understand your concern!! Prayers are sent to all.... Keep us posted on how they are doing.

A couple of weeks ago when Higgins had his baby teeth out, I asked the vet techs if he cried alot in his cage. They said that they are so busy with all their patients and that Higgins could see everything going on and was soooooo interested in everything that he didn't cry or bark at all! She said most of the dogs react with interest and aren't as unhappy as we think they are......it was sort of comforting to hear.......

Rudy is home safe and sound. He is doing great, it is amazing how they bounce back. He isn't himself but he is walking around and went outside and just ate a little chicken. It was so sad today when I got home after taking him Maddie looked all over for him, she even went outside which she doesn't like to do. She wouldn't eat anything no treats or even turkey, she missed her brother. They have only been together for 8 months, but they have a bond. As soon has I brought him home she went and ate her dog food, the BRAT Thanks for all the well wishes, it ment a lot to me and Rudy........Thanks, Cindy

That's so sweet of Maddie! GREAT TO HEAR that Rudy is safe and sound! He'll take a day or two to recover, Cindy, but he'll be fine and bouncing on walls in no time!
