| My 7-month old yorkie won't eat My yorkie that used to love to eat her food now refuses to eat. I almost have to force feed her. We still did not get her fixed yet. So could it be that she is fixing to go into heat? She is only 3 pounds so it concerns me that she won't eat. We will be getting her spayed very soon.

| I havent heard of dogs not eating when they are in heat but I cant tell you for sure because I had My girl spayed before she went in heat. There could be something else wong with her. You might mix her food with some cottage cheese.

| If she does not get her appetite soon, we will take her to the vet. It could be her teeth too. Because she has some odd teeth growing behind the other. We wanted to get her spayed right at 6 months but the problem is coming up with the money. She won't get pregnant though because she is our only dog and she stays inside. The only time she goes out is on a leash with us in the backyard. We will get her spayed as soon as my mom or I can come up with the money. She is still playing and does not act like anything is wrong.

| is it just the dog food she wont eat? My dogs have never never never stopped eating when they go into heat. the only time that happens is the day before they have pups. I would be concerned about her becoming dehydrayted.

| She pretty much stays inside all day. And our house is always cool and comfortable with our AC. But, we are having a mosquito problem in our home and it has us worried. She is on heartworm preventative pills that she takes once a month. We keep killing nothing but baby mosquitos in our home and worried that they are getting into her food and her water bowl. She is not vomiting and her pee and poop both look normal. No loose stools. Chloe is on Science Diet puppy bites and has been on the same food since she was weaned from her mother at the breeders home. She normally gobbles her food down and we were giving her 3 small feedings a day due to her small size.

| yes, my puppies are inside too except to potty. But the vet said its just like us. When its this hot outside it effect us too even tho we are in ac houses and I know I can tell it too. Kizzy and Maggie have laid around a lot in the house at times also but when their up they play like mad dogs. lol

| Well, she ate a few bites of her food. I guess it is better than nothing. My mom says she will take her to the vet tomorrow if she still does not want to eat. Because of her small size she can't afford to lose even a couple of ounces. She only weighed 3.2 at her last vet check up.
