| Poor Lexi (this has been the worst week) My Lexi has very bad allergies, she is limited on her outside time, I have to use baby detergent for her blankets and clothes, she can only have duck and potato or fish and potato food, no treats. It is so sad and she was getting a shot every other week. Well today she is worse than ever. She has torn her back leg up so bad ( I'm talking lots of blood all over) the vet had to give her another allergy shot, an antibiotic shot, and a shot for inflammation. Then to top it off he did a 36 hour cast to give her leg a chance to heal some. She is so miserable, here is a pic of my poor baby. Also she has to go back to the allergist Fri.

| Aww! Poor Lexi and Tricia. It sounds horrid and she looks thoroughly miserable. Is the allergy a long-term thing? Poor baby. Big hugs to you both x |

| Poor baby. I hear what your saying, but have you ever tried benadryl? Ask your vet, maybe it will help. You can give her a very small amount, whenever she starts acting up more then normal. Good luck, Hope Lexi feels better soon.

| I hope Lexi feels better. My best friend has an Akita and he has the worst allergies. He has been to every specialist in NY and still it can get pretty bad. Poor Lexi.... just try to keep her comfortable with lots of hugs and kisses. |

| She lives on Benadryl and it really does nothing for her. I have forked out well over $5000 on her vet visits, allergist, and allergy test, and even ripped up all the carpet in the house and put down hard wood floors and ceramic tile. Now it looks like she is going to have to have another skin test done.

| Poor Lexi! She looks like she can't even get comfortable to lay down with that cast, and then her allergies on top of that. I hope she starts feeling better very soon!

No Longer a Member | Poor Lexi, Hope she gets better soon. One of mine has allergies and I have to keep a humidifier on all winter to keep moisture in the air, The heat drys the air out so bad in the house. Then in the summer because of the grass and weeds i use Malaseb for the chewing on feet and scratching. It works for me . |

| Good luck, I hope she feels better soon, she looks quite uncomfortable. Unfortunately I have been dealing with this for 10 yrs with my poodle. Have tried everything and the only thing that works for a short amount of time is prednisone which isn't good for them. I am trying a new shampoo now, keep fingers crossed...I hope it works...its should, I think it is made out of gold! |

| Oh poor little Lexi. I hope she gets better soon! That is just awful. We talked to a guy that had severe allergies and he started taking a spoon full of honey every day along with his daily supplements. I know they are not human (we like to think they are) but can Yorkies take honey or bee pollen? It might be worth a shot to see if it helps! I had a Chi who responded well to intermittent prednisone and then got a shot a couple of times a year. But she was not nearly as severe as your little Lexi. I truly hope for you both that the allergist finds something to help her.
