| Hair cuts? Okay i have a 3 month old and his hair is getting longer. My question is this.. do i get it cut since the summer is comming and its really hot in FL? Do you have a suggestion on how to get it cut? I have no idea what to tell the people. How much does a hair cut cost? Where should I go... any tips are very helpful.. if you have a pic. of your dogs hair cut.. that can help me get an idea of what i like.. thanks |

| As far as a haircut style, it's all what you have in mind. I do funky things with Monkey's hair. I was even close to giving him a mohawk! I included a picture of his latest. I get a lot of smiles and compliments from it. He looks like he stepped out of a Dr. Suess book...lol. Anyway, if you want something short, cute & simple, I would recommend a puppy cut. I live in Los Angeles and a day at the groomer for me is around $45. I don't recommend going to places like Petsmart. I've only heard of bad experiences about it. I had a bad experience myself and they dropped my friends little guy and he had to have back and hip surgery the same day...at a year and a half old. She was devastated. Reputable groomers seem to take more pride & care in their work. Good luck!

| It depends on what type of coat they have (silky or cotton) and what look you are after. Another thing to think about is how you want the face cut. Some people "clean up" around the eyes and other people don't like that. Find a good groomer, take a picture and write out specific instructions. If you are cutting just to keep him cool maybe just ask them to take an inch off all over the first time. He is a puppy so that will give him a shorter "puppy" cut. |

| well there are tons of styles you can have your baby cut, but for my two i've found that puppy cuts are the easiest and cleanest to keep up. they sure can be cute too! lol, let us know what you decide. we have gone to a grooming salon and had a bad experience, but when we've gone to petco all we've had is success. so i really think it is the individual groomer you need to worry about, not exactly the place. just be careful and go with your instincts! good luck! and btw your baby is precious!

| You know what else I've seen that is really cute...a puppy cut with the top head hair still long. That way you can still put cute things in their hair. Although Beam11's little guy is in fact A GUY, so I'm not sure how people feel about have bows in their boy's hair, but I thought I would post it anyway. It's a funny picture I got off of a website.

| I love Monkey's haircut! It is so cute on him! I have been thinking of cutting Oscar's body hair really short like that for summer. His hair texture is the complete opposite of Monkey's...Oscar almost has "curly" hair and tons of it! I guess he has more of the "cotton" coat...I love to keep him clipped short tho. A friend of mine used to get her Pom cut in the Lion Cut...it was cute on him too!
