| I was checking the site to see the approximate age a Yorkie stops growing. Bailey weighed in at 6.6 pounds last week at the vet. The Doctor thought he was between 7 - 8 months old. I'm hoping he rounds out around 8 pounds as he could use a little meat on him. We got rid of the Purina puppy chow and switched to Blue Buffalo puppy food and he's really just so-so on it. Doesn't quite eat his 3/4 cup during the day. We take it up around 9pm. |

| I think most finish growing around 6-12 months, but it varies. Rhia was about 4lbs her first year and now at 3.5 is 6lbs.

| My Nico is now almost 7 months in few days and he weights 10.5lb (almost 5kg) He's been eating less since he was 5months and just putting on weight a little. I've seen in the park yorkies which are really big in size. They must be over 12 kg , for sure. I read that castration can cause the grow of the bones as well. He was done couple of weeks ago. He's a perfect size right now, can get on the bed and sofa by himself and playing with bigger dogs is not so dangerous (only with the dog we know)so he will not get hurt etc Funny thing about previous post regarding 'BABY' at 5.5months 3lb and at 2 years 12lb... Kinda strange to pick up so much weight if you only expecting it will gain another pound and in fact it's 10. |

My point is, if your vet isn't used to your breed, they may not be as accurate with weight/size fluctuations in a particular breed. | |

| My Sophie grew longer legs after she turned one. Second year she filled out and she is almost three and we are trying to keep her from becoming "overfilled out" She loves to eat.

| Nibblet is about 2.5 - 3.0 pounds, and she was a year old in July. Her legs have gotten a little longer, but I don't expect she'll get much bigger. She's a little spitfire! |

| It's crazy to see that this was started in 2006!! I just took Bentley to the vet and he gained over a pound in a month! He is now 3 lbs at 13 weeks and I'm thinking he might grow up to be on the big side! I wanted him to be around 4-5 lbs but I don't think there's any way that's happening! |

| I would think if the charts are right he will be around 6 full grown, which is still a very small dog.
