| Bumping. Thousands upon thousands of great dogs in animal shelters and rescues still need a home. In most cases, you will be saving the dog's life as most are waiting for their date with death when they aren't placed in homes after their 'shelf life' has passed. Save a forgotten, hopeless life today if you can! If you can't rescue/foster, donate to a responsible shelter and help the dogs trying to hang on to life a while longer there. In the meantime, their forever soulmate might just walk in. Please help the hopeless spending what's left of their lives on cold concrete floors to hold on a little longer.

| Jeanie, thank you for the great post! When we got our two little Morkies they were a lot like the dog in that video. They were terrified of humans and were scared to death to be touched or held. They literally trembled and drooled in the car all the way home from picking them up. They stood still and were afraid to walk around in the yard. They didn't bark for two weeks, we didn't think they knew how to bark. Toby would startle so badly he would jump if you touched him for the first few months. The progress is going very slow but each tiny advancement is HUGE to us. I guess that is why these babies were passed over by so many adopters. They had been shuffled around to three different foster homes and had been to two or more adoption events at Petco. I can only imagine how traumatic that was for them with all the noise and people handling them. After a year they are still trying to be comfortable riding in a car because I guess a car ride meant a new traumatic experience for them. Sometimes I feel sad and long for a puppy that would come running to me and wag their tails to be held and petted when I called them. I feel a little sad when I see normal dogs trotting along beside their humans enjoying a walk on a leash. We are trying to get there but it takes a long time. I don't regret for a minute getting these little babies but sometimes I just wish it was easier. They will walk on a leash now but eyes are huge, ears back and tails down. They are afraid of every sound, a twig snapping underfoot, etc. We don't know what the first 7 or 8 months of their lives were like that made them so afraid of humans. We were told that they were neglected and didn't have human contact. We don't know how much they were abused other than that. I'm just glad the rescue kept them together because they depend on each other so much for comfort. I love them so much and just want the best for them. I would love to hear about anyone's adoption story that had a happy ending. Maybe it will give me some encouragement. Thanks!

Ah, I found it. Now if I can recall how to embed a video and post the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iapVrzmx6yk Utterly heartbreaking!

| That is so heartbreaking that a dog is that afraid of people. They are man's best friend and look how man treats them.

| Many Pitbulls make great, loving pets. Some Pitbulls can do great damage and heartbreak when they are bred for vicious dog fighting and those overly aggressive, killer genes get into a bloodline that sometimes gets into the public sphere, who may endlessly breed those vicious genes. Cruel upbringing, sensing it is hated and feared by many and irresponsible owners can finish the job and produce total monsters but at heart, a dog very likely on its way to the deathhouse at least had a few moments of caring for her as just a very, very sad, needy dog. Mankind has not been a great friend to this bully 'breed 'and I can understand why the loathing but understanding why they are so reviled doesn't make one baby alone and dying for love any less in need of a kind, human touch nor break my heart any less.

| I just can''t watch one more animal abuse video - it rips my insides out. People who abuse children, old people and animals are just evil. There is NO excuse. |
