Many Pitbulls make great, loving pets. Some Pitbulls can do great damage and heartbreak when they are bred for vicious dog fighting and those overly aggressive, killer genes get into a bloodline that sometimes gets into the public sphere, who may endlessly breed those vicious genes. Cruel upbringing, sensing it is hated and feared by many and irresponsible owners can finish the job and produce total monsters but at heart, a dog very likely on its way to the deathhouse at least had a few moments of caring for her as just a very, very sad, needy dog. Mankind has not been a great friend to this bully 'breed 'and I can understand why the loathing but understanding why they are so reviled doesn't make one baby alone and dying for love any less in need of a kind, human touch nor break my heart any less.
