| **Villette** Hi Villette. Do you have the pictures of Cheri and Chanel with shorter hair? I know you gave them a puppy cut and I remember I loved the pictures! I think it was Cheri who looked like a little lion. I've been grooming Brutus myself but since he turned one he has an attitude! He won't let me clip his nails or trim his paws. So I'm going to have to take him to the groomer and I'm neurotic she'll screw it up I want to write down exactly what I want done and show her a picture. I was going to wait until spring to cut his hair shorter but since he lays on the heat registers he's getting mats. I get most of them out but it's everyday I go through this and it's no fun for me or him. I want an all over trim with a topknot and a longish beard, basically just make him look neat and easy to brush. Thanks for any help!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Cheri has never had a puppy cut - you're talking about Chanel and her first real puppy cut ...and I laughed for a week over THAT haircut ...Here are her pictures - she loved herself ...she really did look cute but they cut the body too short....She had TWO different puppy cuts - 1st with the bandana I wasn't too crazy about here's the pictures - Lasst one shows the body better

| How long did it take her to grow out from that to the way she is now? |

| Thanks Villette! I love the cuts but I think I want to keep it a little longer than that. My husband loves his long beard so I think I'll just get a little trim to even it out. I will probably cry after they cut his hair so now I don't know what to do! As long as it's not too short and God forbid shaved we should be okay! She looks so cute though!!!!

Hmmm...good question - she had gone back to the groomer a few times after that but I've since let it grow & just do her grooming myself - so I think over a year ? Her hair grows REALLY fast. She had pretty long hair by 1-1/2 years old - that's when she got her first Puppy Cut....she is now 3-1/2

some groomers just want to use the shavers - but if you go in and tell them exactly how long you want him to be maybe they'll do it for you - also - you can still have a shorter cut with the sides a bit longer ....I think a groomer called it 'Feathering' ? but I would say don't do that - it grows back all different lengths....

Villette, Several months ago, you had a post where you mentioned some kind of tool that you used to kind of thin your girls hair. My new puppy, Daisy has a very thick puppy coat. She is 7 months old now. I am taking the two of them to the groomers next week and would like to have them trim around the leg area in the back. She is constantly wetting on those back legs when she goes out to the bathroom. Do you think I should try to do it myself? I am not really pleased with Copper's new cut. But I am afraid I would not do much better. I forgot how to put pictures in here. I will experiment and maybe put one of him with his old and new cut. Maybe you can help me know what to tell the groomer. Thanks, Ann
