| Reputable breeder don't breed Parti Yorkie since it's not Standard. You are better off trying to find a Reputable Biewer breeder instead. If you really want a Parti Yorkie, there are plenty out there on the internet. I would probably look for one in your city and drive to see both parents and do a good inspection on how they are treated. Make sure they are house pet instead of backyard! Most important is to do a lot of the RED FLAG inspection yourself before putting a deposit down. |

I'm not saying we should chuck the standard aside, I don't mean to imply that. But we do need to, at the very very very least, be open to looking at past positions / opinions / beliefs and question whether or not they're still the right ones. And if they're not the right ones or need to be looked at further, we all need to be willing to *really* explore the topic fairly and objectively before arriving at the same 'ol conclusion. I think the topic of tail amputation and the parti issue are perfect examples of where we need more balanced, open, and neutral opinions in general. For me personally, we are WAY overdue in making intact tails the norm here in the US. WAyyyyyyy overdue. Thanks for being open minded. I'm sure you sometimes receive blow-back from the more traditionalist thinkers bc of this too.

| I LOVE MY LITTLE BOY'S TAIL! It is delicious and adorable. My kids comment all the time that they wish ella could wag her tail like Hudson does! Parti's are so beautiful...I hope you can find a great breeder who has, otherwise I love biewer terriers too-gorgeous! |

YT 500 Club Member | I love my little Madlyns tail. Its so pretty ...but then i love my Izzy's little tiny round butt too. I hate to think of how much it hurts to dock them, so i really don't have a preference in tails. Totally off subject. Sorry

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I have been breeding Biewers since 2004. I show my dogs in the rare breed ring. I'm always happy to discuss Biewers with anyone. Puppies available are on my website. |

| Parti or Standard Thank you for all your replies about a reputable Parti breeder. It is just an option we are considering, but will probably will stay with the standard Yorkie. We bought our first Yorkie in 1989 from a reputable show breeder in Texas, Lee Grunewald. We have had Yorkies ever since. We recently lost one of our two precious little girls and are heart broken. Our remaining little girl, Daisy, is grieving along with us. We are now in the process of searching for another little girl. I have sent emails and/or called most of the breeders in Texas and nearby states on the YTCA site. We would prefer to get a young dog, not a puppy, because Daisy is 8 years old and not sure how she will be with a baby. It seems it will be easier to find a puppy, and we are not totally opposed to that. We just want a pet, but a healthy, baby face type. If anyone has any suggestions, we would love to hear from you. This is the reason why I mention Biewer Breeder instead since they have a Standard and are breeding toward that goal. They also have their own registration too. I know that AKC do recognize Parti Color Yorkie but like I mention, it's not ethical to breed them since it's not standard. Here is something I came across while researching a lot on a Reputable breeder. This is a quote from Lorraine Effa at Lorraine Effa, Loriben Yorkies, Abbotsford, BC, Canada " WHAT IS A REPUTABLE BREEDER Someone once asked me what is a reputable breeder? At the time I was not willing to give a ready answer as I needed to put some thought into it. A reputable breeder, in my opinion, hopefully is one I can only aspire to be myself, enough to hold my head up and know I am improving my dogs, my kennel name, my fellow “Yorkie breeders who trust me with their line, the time they gave me to help me, my breed, and indeed the intent and purpose of the purebred and show dog world with dignity and respect. I alone must take the responsibility to rise up and aspire to a reputation of contributing to the breed and carrying the legacy left me by the breeders that have laid their own foundation for our respective breeds and trustingly handed it over to the newcomers such as myself. I can only hope the reputable breeder is the one I will see whenever I look in the mirror and hopefully, I will see the images reflected back of along with other true purebred dog fanciers, many of whom are currently in the show rings. " Again to Yorkiemomjn, if you really want a Parti Yorkie. You should do all the Red-Flag inspection first before putting a Deposit down. If not then, search for a reputable Biewer breeder instead.
