| Neutered male riding and sexually attracted to spayed female I have a 3-year-old neutered male (neutered at age 7 months) and a 1-1/2 year-old spayed female (spayed at 1 yr, 3 months). Suddenly my male does not want to leave my female alone. He is sniffing her back end and tries to ride her. Is it possible for her to be giving off some kind of scent because this is the time she would have come into heat? If so, is there anything I can do to stop this - please help! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It may just be that her hormones are still going thru some changes perhaps. Just redirect him to a "stuffed lover dog toy", and keep doing it until it passes.

| I have the same problem with my 2 yr old neutered male and 1.5 yr old spayed female. I just give him a stern correction "Don't hump her" or " Off of her" which he reacts to immediatly. Unfortunately I don't know what he does when I'm not home. It generally starts off as harmless playing, hoping he out grows it |
