| Winnie has gone through stages....when she was a baby I fed her 4 times a day....and she was a good eater. Then she stopped wanting to eat in the morning first thing and would ask for food around lunch time. Her desire to eat first thing in the morning has fluctuated. Now that she is potty trained and tells us when she needs to go out I put half of her daily amount out in the morning and leave it. When that is gone I fill with the other half. It's almost always gone by the end of the day. I have heard it suggested to try sprinkling parmesean cheese to entice them to eat, soak with a little warm water to make a gravy, or mix in a small amount of yogurt or soft puppy food. Those are all suggestions I have heard but not tried myself. The method I used was to sprinkle with probiotic powder. That almost always got her to eat at least a few pieces and made me comfortable that she wasn't gonna get hypoglycemic.

| When I first got Duncan he would never eat in the morning; in fact, like your puppy, he wouldn't eat until about 1:00 pm. Then he would eat about 5:00 and want to eat about 7:30 again. After I went back to work (I had the first two weeks after I got him off of work), he slowly adjusted to eating at 5:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. |

| I've read on Yorkie Talk of many Yorkies who are not eager to eat in the morning. As long as your doggy appears to be okay, I would just go with whatever schedule works best for him. There is a poll in the poll section that shows Yorkies have a wide variety of preferences when it comes to eating time and frequency of meals. My boys are weird and want their dinner at 4 pm. Pretty early for dinner. That also means they want breakfast early, 5 - 6 am.

| Harry's the same - he has never, ever wanted to eat in the morning, even when he was a baby. In fact, he won't touch his 'main meal' until at least 3 p.m. I always leave down a bowl of his kibble for him to graze on - sometimes he'll snatch on a few bits during the day - but his main eating time is during the late afternoon/evening

| Dinky often refuses to eat in the morning. He would rather have his morning nap. |

| I've been putting a tsp of yogurt on Sunni's dry food in the morning. I smoosh in a few pieces of kibble. She seems to love that. She eats all the yogurt and kibble thats coated in it. The morning is the only time she doesn't seem too interested in eating. After I let her out I usually give her a healthy organic cookie I get from the pet shop. They have some one who bakes all natural ones. I've gotta look at the recipes we have posted here again. It must be working, she's growing like a weed. She isn't going to be a teeny dog, lol. |

Teek only likes to eat in the evenings. He might nibble during the day but then about 8pm he empties his bowl most nights. He will sometimes go a day or two with only nibbling and then suddenly empty his bowl. He is awesome that he will go up to this bowl and scratch at it to tell me it is empty. The first morning we had him that my husband had to go to work, his alarm when off about 5:40 and Teek lifted his head and looked at him like he was crazy and just flopped his head back down on my leg. He doesn't even stir when my husband gets up anymore and sometimes I have to coax him out of bed with me at 7. LOL
